A one inch sensor would do the trick! Some would say the Go Pro is not big enough for a one inch sensor. But I think Sony's little RX0 and RX0 II are around the same size as a Go Pro, so perhaps Go Pro can squeeze one in too.

Instead of better specs howbout they work on heat dissipation. It's a maaaajor problem with newer GoPros. Tired of these upgrades with no overheating resolutions. Huge resolutions with high frame rates = major heat.
Or... learn to use them in appropriate environments... know their limits 😅 if hot, shoot lower res and or lower fps. If going to be shooting action fast paced environment, shoot whatever res you want. Really shouldn't be this hard to understand.

I am thinking getting my first GoPro I am a professional photographer and want to utilise the ability to film for promotions and guided tour trips my canon R6 does allow me some ability but its not really an action video camera after hearing that the 12 is coming out in a few months I might as well wait a bit longer ?

If the next sensor is 1 inch then I would upgrade, if not then I won't waste the money. We need a bigger sensor for low light, that's all we need.

Camera still needs a recording light on the top of the camera. Bicycling with a handlebar or chest mount becomes problematic because one is not sure if the camera is on or off especially if one is using voice commands or Quik capture.

I would prefer in body image stabilization for lower shutter speed, 24fps 1/48 shutter looks blurry without proper stabilization, I mean the main object looks a bit blurry.
Please magnetic so no more screwing and work bette rin dark light and let me add Edutige mic without needing a media mid cage. Also please make Mars Volta an option to extend 1/2 a feet

I couldn't wait because I needed the 11 to upgrade from the 8 but I'm still going to get the 12 as well.

There are many of us who’d like a 35mm or 50mm telephoto lens mod. There are many applications for longer focal lengths. We’re tired of 20 yds looking like 100 yds away.
The first action camera maker to offer such lens mods will truly be considered innovative. Right now it’s all the same: low light, resolution, battery life…nothing new.
It's an action camera- what would you do with a 50mm frame?
@@reneeschke not sure what you mean by “frame”, but instead of the GoPro linear view (16mm focal length equivalent), I’d like a lens mod for longer focal lengths…like a 35mm or 50mm. Checkout Back-Bones camera mods…if they can do it aftermarket, GoPro could too…but better.
Bottom line: I’d like a GoPro with all it currently offers but with either a 35mm or 50mm lens equivalent.

People are using GoPros for way more than only action these days. It’s a great idea since the lenses are modular.
Really hate changing batteries every 15 minutes in GoPro....
If they Do Not Improve the LOW LIGHT capabilities, they're not Improving anything....
I would like to see significant low light improvement and stabilization that gets rid of them anoying up down movements when walking above all else. That for me is the biggest let down of the camera.

Amen man. Sick of these expensive cameras that can't even hold their own. Tired of "upgrades" that can't even keep cool. Let's optimize before making major steps towards higher resolutions/frames that overheat. Nobody even needs 6k or 8k right now. We need a camera that can literally record indefinitely. At high fps 4k would be fine.
As I've explained. Learn their limits and preferred environment. Everyone thinking a matchbox sized camera with these specs will work in all environments, really should pick up a book. If it's hot outside and you're stationary, don't shoot full res. If you're moving about with wind passing through - shoot any res. It's an "action" camera. You think anyone who knows what they're doing is shooting 20 minute videos? 😅

@@crisalida2008 that's exactly it. Better heat syncs and hardware that's capable of maximizing its own output. There's other devices that have nearly no limits. Osmo Action for example. GoPro needs to reevaluate.

i dont care of 1000fps, 20k or whatever.... i will only buy a new GoPro if picture quality increases. Especially in LOWLIGHT. As long that this will not happen, i keep using my GoPro8. The Quality is the same... Even a damn THIN IPhone makes perfect lowlight videos.
It Better have 8K.. they're falling BEHIND BIG TIME.... 4K to 8K please... it's odd they have 5K setting in there.
You watch. They'll bring a large format sensor out in the same size body, and people still be like "iT oVeR HeAtS"

A native iso of naught, a maximum iso of 12 billion with no noise... 8.2 Dolby surround, a night hawk modem, a fold out 32 inch screen. Aaaaand idk a jarvis assistant. Why is it so hard? We pay good money for people to watch our 2hr long boring action videos 😅"

GoPro has always been a failure for me with the start of seven know what a lot of us have always noticed they overheat and shut down or they’re going to fix that are using a DJI Osmo action one and now they tell me they’re out of the three to buy

Over heating and low battery capacity are the issue of this small expensive camera. Buy an iphone instead.

And add new color profile. GoPro colors are only good underwater... everything else is awful.

Battery life. The creator pack charger is hopeless and I never know how much battery life I have. It’s unreliable. The only good think is the light.
