I can't believe how this show went from an indie pilot to a full-blown programme picked up by Amazon. Everyone give Vivzie and the team the praise they deserve! I love how they actually added depth to why Charlie wants to rehabilitate the sinners. It's not some 'I can fix them' mentality that borders on savior complex. She cares about the sinners cause her mother did, no matter how bad they are. Like Lilith, Charlie sees something in them that's worth a second chance.
Not just that, but the sister series *didn't* get picked up by a major network or streamer and it's still rocking insane production quality and a stacked cast that includes not one, not two, but *three* broadway stars as regulars.

This show is absolutely amazing so far. Great characters, banger songs, an intriguing story with massive stakes, I can't wait to see where it all goes. Also, I like how the angels are portrayed as more evil than the demons. And that they say these demons "earned their damnation" when Adam was the one who committed the original sin. If anyone deserves to be stuck in Hell forever, it's him.

I think Husker is the one person Angel actually WANTS to get with. And, even rarer, even though he wants him carnally, I think he'd actually be fine if they were just good friends.
Probably because Husk is the only one (to Angel's knowledge) that seem to have absolutely zero interest in him so he's not afraid of being taken advantage of by him
THIS is a strong start for Hazbin! Like the pilot, Charlie’s cause to rehabilitate the damned is laughed out not just by reporter Katie Killjoy, even Adam as well. Despite all that, he clearly holds a strong grudge against them with the latest twist involving one of his archangels being killed.
Yeah. The princess of Hell shows true godliness more than an actual angel. By which I mean that true godliness isn’t about power, it’s about faith, hope and love. It’s about compassion and mercy. It’s about kindness, honesty, generosity, loyalty, and joyousness. All things Charlie has in great store, and all things Adam and his cronies lack.
The angels aren't good. They represent Order.

IDK if this is common knowledge, but in the TH-cam pilot, Vaggie said like 2 phrases in Spanish, but both were barely audible. The first one was when she, Charlie, and Angel were in the car together and Angel told her not to "get [her] tacos in a twist," which was a racially-motivated insult. Her line was "Come mierd@, [grumbled, inaudible angry insults]!" which translates to "Eat $hit, [grumbled, inaudible angry insults]."
Her other line was geared at Alastor in the pilot. She called him a "Cabr0n hijo de p3rra," which means "B@stard son of a b!tch." (As a human, he was born to a Creole mother and white father in the extremely-segregated 1800s in New Orleans. His parents were unwed and his mom had to raise him by herself bc his dad abandoned them due to racism.)
She was always supposed to be Latina. According to Vivziepop, Vaggie is Salvadoran (like Viv.)
I think it more so has to do with the fact that Stephanie and (canonically) Vaggie are Hispanic. Just a hunch though.

He's the better cook of the Hazbin crew. He also has a twin sister named Molly; both of them are named after the drugs they overdosed on when they died. Angel's real name is Anthony.
I personally LOVE every new voice actor! They all did a great job. Though I also loved the old voice actors, this feels way more professional and fresh. Loved this episode and I'm so excited to see more soon!

Im curious about that. From the cards that were sold, there are angelic characters that are beyond the exterminators, and some of them look...friendly. There are definitely going to be a good amount of winners and angels who want to redeem sinners for it being the morally right choice.

I LOVE HuskerDust so so much, I started to freak out when she said she liked it!
Honestly I even find Lucifers punishment in the lore of Hazbin to be more symbolic and fitting than in the original Biblical narrative. If angels by nature are Good and their role is to inspire/guide humans than it makes total sense that for Lucifer it would be painful to be imprisoned in a place where as a result of his actions only the consequences are seen instead of the potential light that every soul contains within itself. Also guess that makes him the first sinner instead of Adam who became an angel (according to the show).

THEORY: Vaggie backstory: Besides Charlie she is pretty much the only resident of hell we see that looks mostly human. But she also sports an 'X' over one eye much like the angel-sent executioners. In the pilot we see her hold a spear like the executioners as well. What if she is an angel assassin who turned away from heaven? Maybe after having met Charlie?

"Catch on" probably that angels can be killed and *how* to kill them. They started killing demons because they think Hell will just attack them. And now they figured out how to kill an angel. I think Adam was already planning to cut short the time without Charlie's meeting. Like, it wasn't just petty 'in your face' decision.
This episode dropped last night, and this makes it the 4th time I’ve watched it in less than 24 hours: 1st on Vivsipop’s channel, then on Amazon’s TH-cam channel, and then on Prime. Doing my part to pump the views up, gotta make season 3 happen.

Now, before I say what I'm about to say, I am enjoying the show. I love the characters and what they're trying to do, and the fact this exists in the first place is a monumental step for Viv, her team, and indie animation as a whole! Truly, it's an exciting time to watch this.
An issue I have, without spoiling, this feels less like a Season 1, and more like a Season 2. Your reaction being a prime example, you know exactly what these characters are like from interviews and creator details, but casual fans aren't going to know stuff like that when they're watching, so when they just watch the pilot and then this, they're gonna have base knowledge without the "Why is Alastor so against TV? How did Angel get into the situation with Val? Who are all the Overlords?" I'm hoping it's just a four episode problem, as I do genuinely like this show, but I can't deny that it expects EVERYONE who watches to do their homework from the most obscure places
To be fair, there really is no need to watch anything other than the pilot before this to understand everything ; also, not trying to be mean at all, but the questions you asked are either irrelevant (as in their answer isn't that important to the plot) or are answered in later episodes ; for example, "why Alastor is so against TV" he's the Radio Demon and has beef with Vox who's TV (which is explored in episode 2) and there really is no need to know more ; "Who are the overlords" - it gets explored in episode 3 and from what it appears will be explored later ; and "How did Angel get into this situation with Val" well he gave his soul to him, which is explored in episode 4 as he was allured into a toxic relationship he cannot leave. Really, you do not need to read interviews or character analysis to understand what's going on, we're not supposed to have all the answers right away

I’ve only seen part of ONE of the many many livestreams, interviews, Q&A’s, etc, and the part that I saw was literally just Vivzie drawing while the actors goofed around and said funny stuff in the background. Nothing to do with the story itself.
I’m sure there’s like, Easter eggs and wink wink types of things for ppl who did read/watch all that outside stuff but you don’t HAVE to know all that in order to be able to enjoy it lol
Something I noticed that I love is how our hell cast barley scares, where as Adam is doing it every 3rd word
the exterminators outfits look like, those aren't their real faces, they're LED masks that they wear, and they likely don't have horns either, it's just part of their helmets, the same applies to Adam.
I watched the first episode with my boyfriend, we're gonna watch the rest but it's only been the first so far, and while most people HATE Adam which is totally understandable.. My boyfriend was like "Oh I already love this guy" lmao

Lets be honest, regardless if you enjoy this show or not, the fact that AN INDIE project came so far, is a HUGE deal. I am so proud of Vivzie and her team. (Also please guys, remember to watch it in legal way lmao)
