I think I am now down to going with either the 65 version of this or the regular Atom 75. I do lose the GBW, but bigger and much faster burrs. Just not sure of button model or the new touch version.
@@billhendrix4125 id rather have smaller burrs and grind by weight myself but if all you care about is speed then go with the 75. Touch is nice but if your getting a big price difference go with the buttons
Recently subscribed. Pretty cool channel you are running. Could you make a video testing the accuracy of the GBW functionality? Is it really consistently accurate to 0.1g?
thanks yeah id love to run that test. I did some of my own testing and occasionally it will be off by .2 but thats the most I have seen and it generally happens when you put new beans in or when you make big changes to the grind size
How does the Atom W-Series handle Vibrations on the Table or touching the Portalfilter while grinding? Does it simply stop and resume like the Fiorenzato allground sense?
@@JoeyVaracalli thank you! do you have a link? Or did you message them directly? Their site is kind of difficult to navigate because I couldn’t for the life of me find anywhere to make the purchase 😅
Do you have to constantly recalibrate the weight each time you swap beans to beans? I reckon the density of different origins have different weight and sizes and so the machine will have to relearn everything from scratch. Also please adjust the volume of this video. It’s too low!
@@3rd-Wave_Rebel ohhh sorry I stopped doing my own editing so I’ll let my editor know. But it generally does a pretty good job when swapping beans maybe it’ll be off by .2 grams that’s the worst I saw once the burrs broke in a bit. It gets thrown off the worst when you make big changes to the grind size
@@JoeyVaracalli Thanks! I bought the EX65… a month ago before they announced the GBW… I would’ve gotten the W if I hadn’t bought the EXcellence… Oh well… I’m learning to love it. Come to think of it the GBW is not ideal for single dosing since I don’t like leaving a pound of beans in the hopper. I got the blowup hopper from Eureka and it does a decent job of diminishing retention by 0.3 grams. Without the blowup, retention will be 2-3 grams!
I have the W65 and I have been swapping beans in and out.. .I have found no need to recalibrate. in fact I tested it out of the box and it was accurate to 0.1g without me having to do anything,
@@richardwindsornomura Cool to hear that. But you still have to leave a pound of beans in the hopper to use the GBW feature. I personally like doing single dosage. So I never leave my beans in the hopper. That’s why when I think about single dosing with GBW doesn’t make any sense.
@@3rd-Wave_Rebel actually you dont,,,, my w65 grinds accurately right down to the last 17g of beans. single dosing makes no sense with GBW as you have already done the weight bit before you start. I find beans do not degrade in quality from wittingin the hopper for 5-6 days so I put 5-6 days supply in the hopper (about 300g) once a week or so
Awesome, definetly set on this grinder now with exact config as you. Got the stainless steel lelit bianca as well lol. Thanks for the review.
@@SadatKR yeah it’s a pretty amazing set up not gonna lie

What is your daily grinder? Thoughts between these?
@ my daily grinder was the eureka libra then upgraded to atom w75
@@JoeyVaracalli that’s a bit above my price range. Would you do w65 or atom 75?
@ the Libra is cheaper than both of those but yeah I think the 65 is fine unless you really need the extra speed
fast and perfect grind, can't argue there

Nice review !
Have you had the chance to compare it to the Mahlkonig E65S Gbw ?

Where did you order it? Everywhere I looked they only sell the black, white and brushed steel. Not the chrome.

Grind by weight is definitely the way for machines to be, but the machine is too big....
