Tim Wilson, singer/songwriter/comedian, stops by The Bob and Tom Show and tells the story of what the First Baptist Church has to do to "serve" its congregation.
Why do we have to keep losing ALL the greatest people to have live on this earth. So sorry for his wife and two children. Tim Wilson, man we'll never forget your funny acts and songs, you'll never be forgotten brother RIP.
Was a regular at the comedy clubs in Atlanta in the 80's and Tim became a good friend. Spent several nights post show drinking and swapping stories and jokes until way to late. Love ya Tim! RIP
i think its funny that people consider this the best radio show and its based in oklahoma city. me and my dad listen to it every morning on our way to work.
I have something related to this. There was a VFW that my dad and I went to (and they made good food) that shut down and is now a church. This could be the theme song to this church.
I saw Tim in Cincinnati about 7 or 8 years ago. Before he played this he said was inspired to write this from Joe's Tavern in Jellico Tennessee. I've been to this tavern and don't doubt this was a true story.
That song he did a couple months ago on B and T about the Cajun who kicked in the motel room door was hilarious. I wish they'd post a video of it. One of his best ever.
blue laws, there used to be laws about bars being opened on sundays.if fact a lot of blue laws stated that no buisness should be done on sundays.no stores or resturants where open on sundays when i was a kid.
been based in Indianapolis IN since it started. its syndicated to just about the whole country. ever wonder why they don't talk about and city (news, weather) than indy?
I'm sorry to ask, but what does that say on your headphones? It seems to suggest that the headphones are property of "The Bob & Tom Show." Yet, I am sure these headphones are a product of Sony! What gives? Why are you not giving proper credit to Sony?
um, the words in english that are considered "cuss words" or called vulgar, are in fact words that were used by "commoners". upper classes looked upon their language as proof of their ignorance, meanwhile, the upperclasses used latin, early english, or french. the bible does not say that one can not use these words because they didnt exist in the early centuries, the time the bible was being written and christianity was being molded to be the hotbed of self rightousness and intolerence it is now
"Top rated" or "most listened to" doesn't really equate to "best". Just remember that those popularity contests are driven by the 'Common Man'. Look around you and gauge the intellect and taste of the 'common people' around you. Yeah - scary isn't it?
i've seen baptist at their best lol im not one but i was working at one and they were 2faced as fuck in that joint and very unkind then i got fired bc i dint convert to their church
@DamagedF0X I am all for ppl bettering theirselves. But bettering yourself is not pointing out everyone else's little flaws or grammar mistakes. Its changing YOURSELF. So tonight instead of beating off to the internet look in the mirror and find one thing that is wrong and commit to changing it. Then if you really become a better person you wont be on the internet judging, pointing out flaws and blaming everyone. You might even make some real life friends.
No one made me laugh as hard as this guy. He'll be missed.
RIP Tim, you were one of a kind.
Godspeed Mr. Wilson...save me a seat at Heaven's "First Baptist Bar and Grill"
