Hello Shriya, Shreya this side lol. I’m a 1st yr medical student from Karnataka as well. Almost done tho, just last prof exams remaining. I was kinda wondering if u could make a detailed video about how u had the opportunity to pursue your elective abroad, that too completely funded by the college. Breakdown of what led to ur college thinking u r eligible. Cuz likewise, I too can plan ahead since id love to land me the very same opportunity given that I’m completely clueless as to how one approaches it. My college offers a foreign exchange program (I think) or some vslo program. That’s all that I know for now. I will also talk to my seniors. Besides, I actually kinda want u talking only about kmc Manipal for a precise gist of how reputed colleges carry out such programs. I’ve religiously been taking all ur advice since pre-neet. And I’ve implemented most of ur strategies in mbbs as well. Safe to say, ur content has been so much of help in words I can’t explain. So if u also happen to make a video on this particular topic then id be the most grateful
@@drshreya846 hii, I can just tell you here hehe i was ranked 3rd in first year, 4th in second year and 3rd in 3rd year in terms of university exam marks in my batch. our college took an aggregate of all these marks for all students. the top 5 students via these mark aggregates were then chosen to attend an elective of their choice. so it was essentially merit based, I hadn’t done anything extra to land the opportunity. that’s how it works in kmc manipal as of now
@@coolmitochondria4467 ahh lovely. Thank u sm for respnding haha, didnt think u would. One last question tho, what were the kinds of electives offered for these merit based students? And what was ur elective about? I know it spaned for a month. But jst a gist of what exactly u got to do in france related to healthcare this month? You really shd be vocal about ur achievements ngl. It all kinda puts me in go go go mode lmfao. And i always look forward to ur med related videos. Much love ♡♡
@@drshreya846 we were allowed to choose a department of our choice and we’d get to observe and participate in patient care for a month, basically like an intern/ like a clinical posting
Heyy, were only 5 students out of 250 sent to France or you can apply separately along with these students to go to France? Also, do people from kmc manipal match into US residency?
@@vedikajain4786 hey this particular elective was only for 5 of us, but there are other electives you can apply for separately too! and yes we’ve gotten matches every year
