Thank you for taking us on your adventures. I started watching you when you were in quarantine living in ”Lucky Lou.” You are such gentle souls. I hope your love lasts as long as ours has; we have been married for 54 years and counting. When we were young, we’d did pack the kids and dog up and tent camp almost every weekend and dream of the time just going across the county and live like that, but unfortunately there was no way to make money on the road. We follow the same people you mentioned. You'll take me to places I never saw before and make me feel like I'm right there with you. You know, I am confined to a wheelchair or bed so you make me feel like I’m right there with you. I am a great-grandmother not really that old but Life throws you curve balls and I was the unfortunate one who caught it so keep loving and living a beautiful life and take me with you . God bless you, and don’t ever stop loving! From a small town in Indiana USA!

Donna, you are not on your own! I had major heart surgery a year ago, ( had heart attack, followed by 4 cardiac arrests, while I was still in hospital). - Thank God, because the staff saved me... But it's left me with really poor mobility. I used to work in Nursing homes, and had actually had heart attack at work. I also follow a lot of van lifers, and if I was 30 years younger, I'd be one of them, and take you and your hubby with me!! Please keep safe, and take care of yourselves. Big hug and love, from England. 🇬🇧💕 X

I enjoyed this so much I had to watch it twice. My family immigrated to the USA from Germany and I love both Germany and Italy. I’ve been to Germany, but want to go back and I still need to visit a Italy. The town my wife grew up in is in a new location as the original town was flooded after a dam was built. The original town of Linn Creek, Missouri, USA, was settled in 1841 and was flooded after the construction (from 1929 to 1931) of the Bagnell Dam by the Union Electric Company for hydroelectric power generation. Her grandfather was a worker who helped build the dam. The power company help build two new towns to replace the original Linn Creek, one was the New Linn Creek (located two miles up the creek) and the other was Camdenton which became the county seat. Fortunately, the original cemetery was not affected by the lake waters.

I can just recommend almost every place in Italy as nice and particular, because it is the cradle of culture , of art, with a big story, from the Roman Empire, to the Renaissance ... so I it seems obvious that it is easy to find beautiful places in any place.
Foreigners only know the most famous ones, Milan, Venice, Rome ofc, Sicily etc. but Italy is all beautiful.

    Hello beautiful couple,
Sara, I really love the editing of this video. The way you put the music with Luca’s drone footage is so professional. I rewatched the bell tower footage 6 times before I finished watching the rest of the video. Your videos have improved so much since you two first began. I really enjoy living vicarious thru your adventures. Love you guys.

Sara, home is where the heart is.
Why did they build the dam?
I miss Sicily so much! I never made it to the rest of Italy, except for Calabria. I lived in Sicily for 3 years. We started out, living in a villa at Campo Rotundo. Then moved to Sigonella Naval Air Station, for the rest of our time, in Italy. I have always wanted to see Tuscany. And the sculpture of the David, and the Pieta. Oh well! Love you two, very much! You bring tears to my eyes, but am happy for you. Ciao!

Another beautiful day with you both. Sara, your home town of Merano is dreamy. And, the mix of cultures is complimentary. I lived in Germany as a child, and love the sensibility and order of the German people. The blend of the linearity of the Germans and the la dolce vita of the Italians, appears to make for a beautiful life! And, yes, 'thinking outside of the box', is always a helpful attitude of mind, body and spirit. XO

My husband’s grandparents came to the USA from northwest Italy near the Swiss border. We traveled to Italy without our children for 2 weeks . We entered Italy from Austria through south Tyrol . We lived in Germany for 3 years, and drove an old conversion van. We were about your age and full of adventure and camped in the van. Shortly after we crossed the border our battery started wearing down. We stopped at an auto repair shop but they couldn’t understand English and we didn’t speak Italian. So we communicated in German. It was a bad alternator. Since we had an American van we continued on, saving battery power by shutting off our lights. Of course we were stopped by the police - but once they saw the children’s toy top we had purchased for our children and their scribbling in our passport they realized we were ok and sent us on our way.

Concerning your Italian words at the end of your video I would like to tell you a story. In 1978 I was on vacation in Yugoslavia with a Yugoslavian friend of mine. We were on the island of Mali Lošinj when suddenly the church bells kept ringing for over half an hour. I asked my friend for the reason. He asked some Yugoslavian and their answer was: >a new pope has been electednon capisco nientethe new pope is called Don Capisco the Ninth< (in German: Don Capisco der Neunte)

Been waiting to watch this when I was feeling better. Bad headache, bad day. Much better now.
Just wanted to wait so I could savor the experience fully. Glad I did. Spectacular!!!!! Unbelievable beauty. Loved the Tango music with the Castles. Not sure what came first, the music or the dance Tango. 💃😁
Was waiting for Luca to do his inner Fred Astaire. 😂
Loved the video, the music and both of you. 💕

I go there every year with the family skiing and the both of lakes will be frozen in January , they have a lot of good trail to skiing and cross skiing, I prefer winter then summer, in st. Valentin , the lake of Heide, is a really nice town to visit, small but nice, you will fin your peaceful moments with nice people and food! They speak Italian and Austria German, most of them learn two languages in school, nice place for families enjoying outdoor activities! Peace!

LOVE THE DRONE FOOTAGE!!! Unreal and incredible!. Also...the video editing is nothing less than professional. This was one of your absolute best videos ever. The music choice was incredible as well. All of it made me feel like I was in Italy for a moment. I didn't know about the second language being German and that really surprised me to hear. I grew up near Atlanta Ga and there is a town just north of there called Helen GA and it is an attempt to replicate a small German village...it's gorgeous and very full of tourists! It reminded me of our trips there but your trip kicked it up on the scale of beauty and majesty. I'm always amazed at how God created such a beautiful world!!!

Sara and Luca - I’ve been watching your channel for a long time. Every time you sign off and say levita Bella and Sara says Life is beautiful it brings tears to my eyes - every time. At first when you were having hard times I wondered how you could continue with your positivity and it pulled at my heart strings and as things got better for you two beautiful people, I now cry tears of joy. You are truly beautiful and I love you both.

    Hi guys!!
I really enjoyed this trip. Never imagine there was a place like this in Italy, it looks very German. Builds and foods you show are less Italian I knew.
Anyway it is a beautiful place and natural sights amazing. Loved the aerial shoots.
Already waiting for the next video.
    Cheers from southern Chile.

This region is inhabited by both native German speakers and native Italian speakers, so you will also find Italian restaurants with typical Italian menus.

@@MemoBar100 Well ... Welcome in Italy!
Northern Italy extends extensively from West to East and the Alps are the natural border with France, Switzerland, Austria and Slovenia... therefore Italy actually has the most beautiful and varied mountains of all these countries: those who come to Northern Italy (I live one step away from the Italian Western Alps) can visit the most beautiful mountains in Europe without having to go to multiple European nations;)
      Greetings from Milan 😉
