      Its pronounced and written as morin huur( which is the correct way) but in english language its written as Morin Khuur. Same as americans say genghis khan instead of chinggis haan. English language butchers things as usual lmao. Literally everyone who was born and raised in mongolia and understands the cultute knows this.

      about the lyrics, it is literal translation of the original song but slightly changed. just a little.

    • @baqikenny
      @baqikenny 4 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      *_yes it symbolizes how we humans are full of greed and ruins our surroundings extensively and endlessly, the only way we learn is in retrospect which is far too late, the cycle repeats, absolute demonic cancer. There's nothing we can do to change the final outcome as long as our breeding cycle continues, we can but toast and metal to a slow death in the long run :)_*
      *Sad but True though.*

    Their singing style is called karkyraa and khoomei (Mongolian throat singing). That horse head instrument similar to a violin is called morin khuur ( horse head fiddle) . Next like a guitar instrument is called tovshuur( Mongolian traditional guitar ) . The Hu said they are created new genre then they called that Hunnu rock . Singing "Sad But True" in Mongolian added a mistique to the song and the production of the video is Wow!

    The instrument you are curious about is called Horse Head Fiddle. This instrument is one of the most ancient musical instruments in Mongolia. It is used and played frequently to date in Mongolia. It consists out of different kinds of woods such as pine or fir. At first it used to make out of goat's skin. Those strings are made out of mane and tail hairs of horse.

But I'm not sure if they used it in here or not. The one that they are using is a adjusted/upgraded ones to make it more stronger. Its basically custom made for them. So their design is bit different than the originals as well.

    In the video they are showing that human greed is destroying the environment. Throat singing was a way for the Mongolians to connect with the nature around them, now humans have disconnected from nature and are now just causing destruction to satisfy their insatiable greed, sad but true. Absolutely LOVE The Hu!

    Been a metal head my entire life. I am a bit younger than James Hetfield. I saw them in concert in 91 with Guns and Roses and Ice T. The Hu has the metal spirit we loved so much as kids and some big bands got away from. Can you feel the metal the Hu really channels it hard core. Gives me metal chills . \m/ On a scale of 1-5 I give this one a 4.8 on the metal chills meter.

    Am I Jerk if I like the version of the Hu, more than the original???

      No because the HUversion Is so much different the new original and it’s on Waze but it’s close enough to the original as well which pays homage

    What a baller cover man. Please do Escapism by William Jacobsen next! He's an unknown from Norway, and the piece is so vivid and take you on such an adventure, I think you'd really like it!!

    And when you think that The HU cannot get even more awesome, they go ahead and do this.
    And in the process prove conclusively that Mongol throat singing is metal as fuck.
