This is one, like other great songs in recent years, that captures me and won't let go. It doesn't have a clear message or meaning, so that void is left for the listener to fill. I experience this piece with admiration for my past and confidence for my future. I hope this also finds you well and has an impact as great as that I experienced.
@John Doe I read a book once, where he states that assisting in the Manhattan Project was his biggest regret. He thought it would bring peace, but it brought more destruction. I think it is a little unfair to label him just another person in America. Perhaps he is just another person in the world, made a decision with good intentions but realized he made a mistake. We all make then no?
@@stardestroyer44 I agree plus science is not evil or good! You can use nuclear fission to power entire cities u can also use it to bomb entire cities. You can use electricity to power your car and light bulbs u can also use it as a taser lmao....but my point is Einstein isn't at fault for atomic bombs....what about the people who detonated the bombs, the pilot who drove that bomb over Japan and dropped it on those people nobody is holding them accountable. We are the evil ones and we are the good ones science is just merely a tool to help us achieve our ends.
I donno what it is,but listening to this, I felt a strong turbulence of emotion mixed with such an emptiness that I can't explain...like a profound sense of t austerity has found its huge relief to let go so that it can gather the scattered thoughts again...I am stuck in profound oxymoron.

I think the text is about emptiness in capitalism, about cold of our strictly rational modern world with no wind for our souls. Motive of balloon is metaphore of lost freedom for me. Bars with bus driver hans, numbers, toyota, money and form of the text represent the soulless system. Do you feel it same way? I do not belive the lyrics is just product of random dadawriting.
Possible. Honestly, it would just be easier to find out what Robert Wilson and Philip Glass thought they were doing. Or they may not know, either. Artists often don't know their own motivations, which makes art so endlessly fascinating.
1-4 breathe

Her: What type of music do you like?
Me: ...It's complicated...
and that's pretty simple at the same, the relativity.

YES I AGREE ON THAT & I WISH I COULD HAVE MET HIM & HAD AN INTERESTING DISCUSSION WITH HIM ! ! !
....except for Philip Glass?
I don't know why exactly it is, but the voice in the spoken word part of this is so much more effective in the 1993 version for me.

That's so sad , to have a bomb pinned on you and I doubt he understood what they were planning ,he was just working out equations.

Being and nothingness
I've always thought that the main target demographic for this music is preschoolers.
@@JCTelenio haha

Why is is it stupid?
@@ridiculumvideos748 the voice over under the romantic strings gives a sentimental feeling, which I can't take seriously. it's quite corny
The background talking is extremely distracting and un necessary...
You mean in the song? That's just part of the song.
Einstein was a great scientist certainly, but the music is trash.
Nah.
