The other few guys that make these type of hats on utube would have jus threw the rim into the engraving machine! Personally I love seeing the hand crafted engraving done by hand! a machine can't replicate the depth, texture & detail u get doing that part by hand

Hello friend, how are you? Handicrafts are fantastic, no matter what they are. This is the second one I've done, and I plan on doing more soon. I've never made a hat before, and I learned all the knowledge from the internet. My advice to you is, go for it. You just have to believe, and you'll definitely be able to do it.
You will need to make your own skull out of clay and make a mold, which is what I did, so that there is nothing like it already. Or you can try to sculpt it in something rigid like wood or something like that.
