From Director Joel Guelzo, comes the feature length documentary BEYOND THE TREE LINE, an intimate look into the Sutton family’s epic 2,193 mile journey to complete the entire Appalachian Trail with their 4 year old son, Harvey Sutton, in 2021.
This film sets out to capture not only what it’s like to finish such an incredible hike that took them 7 months, but to get an inside glimpse at the incredible trail community, and the mental challenge it takes to thru hike as a family.
BEYOND THE TREE LINE is both an exciting adventure as well as an inside look at the literal ups and downs of the mental challenge and will power to backpack from Georgia to Maine.

I wish I could come to the conference because I have been so excited to see the final product from your journey and all of Joel's hard work! I really hope you guys are able to get it on Netflix or something because I would so pay to watch this (just not the price of an entire plane ticket to Massachussetts lol)

I enjoyed each and every episode as the three of you undertook that long but joyous journey. I'm not sure that could be surpassed. I wish you good luck with this venture.
This documentary with some of our pre-hike and post hike interviews as well as family and backstories. It definitely surpasses anything that we met on TH-cam. I'm so excited to share it.

We're still working on some final edits to the film. And then our hope is to show it to some agencies and possibly sell it to Netflix or Hulu or something like that. But that might take several months.

We're going to be starting to talk to distributors soon, will let you know as soon as it's able to be purchased. We're also hoping to put it on some streaming services as well.

Now I know that behind the camera there are a lot of ups and downs, and what we see is not everything, but you guys are rocking the parenting and fun learning. Keep the video's coming, whatever adventure awaits. Heck, I watch Mike Morgan mow his lawn and learn new things. Watching you parents makes me want to challenge everything, and my youngest starts college this week, so my 9 and 5 year old grand kids are next in line for fun! Have a great day.

We have a sales agent that we just passed the film off to in LA. They're currently working on trying to get a contract with the network to sell it. Hopefully it'll be out sometime in the fall

We are sooo happy for you guys. My husband and I looked forward to seeing each video as you posted them. We just have a question, we looked into buying tickets, but we couldn't find how we would be able to just buy 2 tickets for the night of the premiere, or would we have the sign up for the whole conference time?
They invited us to be the keynote event for the conference. So you have to get tickets for the entire conference even if you just want to come for the one night unfortunately. But we look forward to seeing you there
