- Self-hosted options might be losing their place with cloud-native applications. But for your own experimentation, it is a great addition to complement your cloud lab environments. It's pretty straightforward and fun hosting your own Git, Azure AD, and CI
Today I finished my gitea installation, configured authentication with azuread, and started setting up drone ci.
Here is day 3 of my DevOps vlog life!
These 3 devlogs were really insightful, particularly because you're talking through the problems and solution spaces. Hope you do it again sometime!
Great stuff! I am into same journey and was looking something own HomeLab for all DevOps tools practice! I just going to set up a proxmox server on bare metal and going to break the things. your video is really helpful and good to know that someone is doing same. thanks!
Breaking things is the only way to learn!! Just keep building and take it step by step.
Got hyped to do a homelab myself now. Also I like your attitude!
Enjoying your series and I am on the same path. Are you planning to update your progress?
Yeah I been on a small hiatus. 2 kids in diapers tend to my life pretty unpredictable.
Next thing: self-host your identity provider with ory kratos, or is that too much? 😅 Great video btw, I enjoyed it
The only self hosted identity provider I was aware of was Active Directory. I will have to take a look at that because I considered AD since most apps have some form of AD configuration.
Well, 2 years later, and drone is now gitness, and it hasn't had a release in months. Also it's missing so many features....
