I have to say. These two ladies push this 6500 up and above what I was looking at X8. I've been studying 6500, 7500 for awhile. If it wasn't for the great presentation you put on made it easier for me to make a decision better. Thank you for the detail in video and caring about us.

Well done, this was extremely value added. However, they missed some important areas for a potential buyer. 1) Dispatch reliability, 2) Product Support 3) Maintenance and Service Locations
They didn’t miss them. They intentionally avoided them because Gulfstream beats them on all points. They also ignored its high speed cruise is .88 and it can only achieve .90 in a narrow range of conditions that we don’t operate in.

like boats, maintenance is about 10% a year of the overall purchase price.....so these would be around 6-8 million per year, about 500-700 thousand per month. Yes, per month. Can you imagine spending 500 thousand dollars per month, only for the maintenance? Now you get an idea of how extremely expensive these really are.

as a fairly new air charter operator from India I've been planning to acquire a fleet of two brand new A321-200 Neo LR Prestige ACJ & 3 brand new Bombardier GLOBAL 8000 large business jet for air charter services . . . but for some reason there's barely any hype going around about the Bombardier GLOBAL 8000 in the air charter fraternity for a very long time . . . wonder if the Bombardier GLOBAL 8000 has sold any as yet . . .
They never developed the Global 8000. Only the Global 7000 which was rebranded Global 7500

In my opinion there should be at least 3 washroom in every private plane /jet, one for crew members, one for the guests/passengers on board and the last for the owner of the plane, this can help provide more privacy, trust me.
Where would you place the guest washroom? How long would the fuselage needs to be to accommodate the additional washroom? How many seats will you give up? How "private" would the guest washroom will be? Where would you place the water / waste tank? How much more weight will it add to the airplane? How will that weight affect the takeoff distance? ...

Only if they want to do it they can do it, because a private plane carrying about 17 people should not have just 2 washroom, 1 for the crew members and the other for all the rest on board. There should be some sort of privacy for the owner of the plane
Clearly you need to upsize to an Airbus ACJ350... on the website the floorplan shows eight toilets and two showers, one exclusive for the master suite and one communal... yours for an extra half a billion us dollars...

@0:43 1200 hours a year is equivalent to flying 4.6 hrs EVERY weekday! If you’re flying 1200 hrs a year it would be cheaper to own your own plane.

wind and gust correction is a matter of the wind, not the airplane's airfoil.
It is limited to 10 knots vs 20 knots of correction? Ok then...
It's an amazing aircraft, they didn't need to pollute their presentation with this silliness.
I noticed they didn't mention fuel burn compared to their competition. Always the Achilles heel for Globals.

The Global 6500 is a beautiful and comfortable aircraft with a modern cabin, but needs a little bit too much fuel compared to modern competitors like the Gulfstream G600 which needs for almost the same range and speed at least 1,6 tons less fuel. And the Global 6500 definitely needs the modern sidestick cockpit of the Global 7500 and its larger windows to compete with the Gulfstream G600 in the future.
So only the crew has a bathroom?

There is a reason why you can’t get a G650er for a few years and Bombardier has Global 6500s sitting unsold.
People are still paying more and waiting for the Gulfstream because it’s a better aircraft, more reliable and has a faster real life cruise.
The only thing Global has better than Gulfstream is the Rockwell Collins suite.
I would say the Gulfstream Has a better pilot cockpit and flying experience. The interior is also more striking than the bombardier but in terms of range, fuel burn, operational costs, take-off performance, cruise, and price the bombardier is a little better. Gulfstreams are more popular with wealthy private individuals but i think charter companies would opt for the Bombardier.
@@mmm0404 Gulfstream 500, 600, 650 & 700 all cruise at M.90. The Global 7500 is the only Global that can go M.90 on a regular basis. Globals cruise at M.88. The Global cockpit is slightly roomier and the Rockwell Collins is better than the Gulfstream Honeywell for pilots. Gulfstream doesn’t go AOG as often. Global Maintanence is slightly better when new but gets more expensive after the 4 year mark.
The NEWER Bombardier jets (global 6500 and 5500) can also hit Mach 0.90 too, with a slightly higher takeoff weight and range than the g500/600 models they compete with. Not trying to be a hothead but you have gotta give them props for that..The Bombardier-Gulfstream rivalry has come a long way and has allowed both manufactures to produce such phenomenal aircrafts
@@mmm0404 The 6500 & 5500 can only hit .90 (at the right weights in the mid to upper 30’s not at normal cruise altitude) they can’t operate M.90 routinely. The narrow window that they can achieve M.90 in, isn’t where the aircraft get used, they get flown at M.88.
That’s the difference Gulfstream can routinely operate at the edge of their envelope not occasionally hit the edge of their envelope.
If G650er is Mercedes-Benz then Global 6500 is Volkswagen

In answer to your question. The RJs were sold to Mitsubishi and the CSeries ( now the A220) was sold to Airbus. Bombardier still owns the business aircraft which includes the Globals, Challengers and Learjets. But the Learjet production is being shutdown.

Good presentation, but felt like a boring commercial. The interior looks like a hospital. Can't beat the Gulfstream wing design which is so clean, other bizzjer wings look cluttered after seeing the GS wings!
Those Global 6500 wings seems better - both at slower and higher speed.

@@jokers7890 I dont want to make this a a popularity contest about a machines wings. What I like about the Gulfstream design is that all the wing mechanism is contained within it which results in a very clean wing. Thats all I meant.
Both types are very high performers and i doubt the billionaires worry about the wing design too much when shopping for these luxury tubes.
