I do not envy whoever ends up having to take office after he is finally gone. The first year, maybe two, of their term is probably going to be spent not only trying to properly refill every staff position he gutted, drove off, or left mismanaged but also untangling the rat's nest of important information and intel he and his minions mishandled, ignored, or tried to bury. And it wouldn't surprise me in the least if he intentionally screws things up even more in his last month as a lame duck just for spite.
Who says Trump plans on going anywhere? I am a Democrat with a liberal bleeding heart but I think he will get a second term. After that, it will be Don Jr, Eric and Eric’s wife, each for eight years. And even if Trump loses both the electoral college and the popular vote by a landslide, he won’t leave the White House unless the military escorts him out. He has too much to lose, plus, the Russians and the Saudis want him to stay.

You seem to forget that at noon on inauguration day he's no longer president, the White House staff packs up the old president's stuff and moves in the new president's stuff, and the secret service will have no problem doing their job and escorting him off the property.
