Absolutely one of the best videos I've seen posted so far while researching UTV trips. I'm in the process of trying to decide on which to buy. A motorcycle accident several years back has kept me out of the saddle, but Windrock used to be one of my favorite things. Back then it was an ATV, but wanting to be able to take a passenger now and really a UTV seems the only way to go. Hoping to be on the trails soon.
Ohio Rock Addicts if you don't know, you likely haven't seen it. My daughter Mandy was killed in an accident at Windrock on Labor Day of 2006. There is a cross at the spot of the accident. It is located on the paved road that goes down to the Windrock Parking area and General Store. I realize there is a maze of long and winding trails ups there, but I have never been much beyond the spot of the accident. I was just curious to know if you had ever seen it; I ran across this video while searching for a map of the trails as I was trying to figure out how Windrock was connected to Caryville. I had a friend say he made a similar ride to yours but just as far as Windrock and back to Caryville earlier this week.
Betsy Harrell very sorry to hear about your daughter! I haven’t seen it but I will pay better attention next trip! We don’t go down the paved trail to the store on this particular ride but I have been down through there many times.
I'm from Ohio but I go down to Tennessee about once a month. I recommend dans map for garmins. After riding all the unmarked trails I rarely even ride the RB side.

RT Outdoors that's the retirement plan!
Just out of curiosity, when you ride through Windrock from Caryville, do you pass Mandy's cross or do you have to go off the trail to pass it?
Betsy Harrell what is Mandy’s cross?

@@DonnieF85 Thanks. th-cam.com/video/qcydKivdYDU/w-d-xo.html. YOu can see it at this link made by the wonderful man who keeps it up.
was that snow flurries when you were coming up on the flats around 29:00 or so?
LandcruisinMike I think it was water or mud kicking up off the front tire. Definitely not snow.
How far do you ride on the gravel road before you turn on the Trail
TennTrails which part?
Coming to Royal Blue this Friday for the cancer ride on Saturday. If I wanted to ride to Caryville flats how would I go from Caryville?
Andy Knight do you have dans map! It's hard to tell you without that, there are a lot of turns and not really any major landmarks.
No I don't, guess I'll have to just ride RB. Would like to go to Tackett also. You from there?

Thank you.
