That shiny Crawdaunt was a static spawn. As long as you didn't reset to before it spawned, it would've stayed shiny, no matter how far away from it you went

I don’t think we need a shiny sound, makes shiny hunting WAY easier, and it’s already easy enough, but they should add the little sparkles that they have in pixelmon, makes em look extra special and easier to see
The last mon needed for my complete dex was Neebas and my first encounter was a shiny. Now i cannot take it out from my team :D

I did the same thing except I did a living dex of sorts and it took me roughly 100 hours. I found almost all of them via outbreak method, the only exceptions were Koffing, Weezing (2 random encounter Koffing), Morpeko, Poochyena, and Basculin (sandwich). You're lucky you got Poliwag quickly...it was my most miserable hunt. It took me 8 separate outbreaks and I used sandwiches for the last four.
There is a cave in the fellhorn gorge and via a water sandwich, only poliwag and poliwhirl will spawn, which is how I got my shiny poliwag

You can actually register shiny bloodmoon bear in the dex if you transfer in a shiny regular bear from PLA. Not sure why this happens but if you can't have the real thing, might as well at least have it registered lmao

I disagree on a shiny sound, that worked better for Legends since the Pokémon don’t despawn when you go far enough away. But a constant sparkle effect like in Lets Go is perfect.

🤓 actshuwally, if you go slightly right from where you enter the carbink cave area, face the open area of the cave, you can easily picnic reset. The issue is this positioning triggers some spawns on the lower level. sometimes you get 3 carbink at a time, other times you’ll get 10. but it’s easy resetting so.

I don't have a problem with shiny locked pokemon. In fact, I actually like that shiny locks exist. I feel that anyone who complains about shiny locks are just whining.
