In this episode you get the first of several episodes (not sure how many just yet, sorry..) showing some of my exploration of Sovereign Hill in Ballarat. A fascinating place, so well done. Sadly on the day of my visit there seemed to be an entire school there (and all the noise that goes with that). But otherwise, I had a great time, I hope you enjoy the video.

That's a very cool historical site! I love the old buildings. That place must have really been hopping back in the day.
It is actually a completely architecturally accurate recreation. Every building has been built to the designs and specs of the 1850's.
I'm pretty sure at some point I talk about it depending on the background noise from the hundreds of children it might be usable. But there will definitely be more information about this place on the following episodes, of that you can be certain!
The best part is that it's so well done you are none the wiser. Every building is a complete building, not a facade, all rooms are completed etc.. It's so authentically recreated it's magical... I would've happily lived there, I guess I'd have to be the Cobb&Co driver, wouldn't I?

No, sorry. It was actually recorded last winter. I sadly didn't get to the Grampians or to Kryal Castle. But I'm sure I'll be back.. I'm weirdly quite taken with Victoria. 😉
I love kryal castle best to go when they have events on and battles but still a cool spot to go and the grampians is stunning to ride around
Apparently, according to my brother we went to all these places when I was only little as my aunt is in Ballarat. But I don't remember any of it.
