Thank you for creating and sharing this: New Zealand pilots will have plenty of time to watch it (to the sound of winter's rain outside). I've already shared the link.
Good video with a lot of good information. A nit pick point. I haven't done a field landing but animals in a field would be a bit scary. Not sure that cows would damage your glider (assuming you didn't hit one) after about the first 10 minutes of investigation. Since the farmer comes out with a feed truck anything that resembles a vehicle with feed they want to check out. I pasture land could be hit or miss landing areas since usually this is generally poor soil/land (rocky, hilly, bunny/gopher holes etc).
Yes, the chapters are all available in HD. Just do a search on 'Field Landings' Because of the size of the entire video in HD, were are unable to upload it to TH-cam in one go.
Oh no: your weather is better than ours, I assure you. I think that there's tremendous scope for the gliding movement to share best practice from around the world: I've been trying to encourage this via the International Gliding Commission, but their home countries don't put a priority on it. All of us are smarter than any of us. Enjoy your season: we've just had the shortest day, so are looking forwards now.
This is a really excellent bit of work. Well done Guys!
It should be mandatory viewing for EVERY cross country pilot.

This is fantastic info! A higher resolution would be much appreciated.
Absolute pleasure! The weather is not much better in Europe at the moment. Let's all hope for better soon...
Wonderful video, really helped me prepare for my XC endorsement. Thanks!

Very good lecture! I appreciate that. I already recommended it to members of my club. Cheers.

Many thanks.
Thanks allot for this. It helps the powered community too :)
Actually a search on 'field landings a training video' works best.
Very thorough field landing presentation.
The definition is poor on TH-cam. Is it in higher definition/clarity by another method of viewing?
