Started with Petra in 83 as I changed from rock of the world to something that had good music and Word's that truely meant something. I wasn't in church yet but got saved. Their songs for a few years was the only Word I got! Now for 41 years I serve Him with all that I am! Thank you Petra for helping me in the beginning days of my Walk with the Lord!

Have you ever even been to a Petra concert? Their Ministry was powerful! Petra was the greatest witnessing band ever! Every song was basically giving The Gospel of Christ! To this very day when I hear Scripture I can hear one of Petra's Holy Spirit inspired songs playing in my head! I have often thought that when Jesus returns in all of His Glory, that we will hear Petra playing in the sky! Going before The Great Army of God! Kinda like the musicians that go before the Battle! They had a Petra Reunion Concert in Steelville, Mo. this past weekend - 10-18-20. John Schlitt's voice is STILL INCREDIBLE. He sang this song & it was wonderful! My husband said this was his favorite song. Mine is Grave Robber - to be played at my Homegoing!!!! You have been to church when you attend a Petra concert. We worshipped. In fact, John insists on it!!!! God bless!

First concert I ever attended (and first exposure to rock music I ever had) was Petra about a month after this concert, thanks to our underground headbangin' youth pastor. Whiteheart opened for them. I've never been the same since. I became a studio musician, music teacher, and worship pastor as a result of my exposure to this wonderful band back in '92. Thanks, Petra! What's it matter where they sang this song???It could've been done in the gutter in the ghetto !!!What matters is that they did it correctly!!!That's the problem with Abrahamics they think they hold the non negotiable truth!!!It's a cool song and even some of their other jams were cool.But you don't see lineups like earth wind and fire bragging how some of their songs are Christian inspired to secular crowd's!?!You Abrahamics hold the burden on proof behind your bold claims!!! John Schlitt has got to be one of the most underrated vocalists period, I've seen him live and his vocals never cease to amaze and for the record I ain't a follower of any Christian God thingy
His voice was very underrated. Dude could and still can sing. Unfortunately, the rest of the band not so much. Uncle Bob wasn't so bad... but Ronny Cates could only scream.

I was blessed to experience Petra in concert in the 90's at Knott's Berry Farm. It was amazing! I'm still blessed by their music and witness...

They still do - in 2023. They are having a 50th Reunion summer tour.... John Schlitt's voice is still incredible.
