There truly isn’t a bad song or a song that I could call least favorite on this album. The consistency in quality throughout is just incredible.

As a Curehead since ‘91, watching the birth of a new Cure fan is amazing. This album has changed so many lives, including mine. It still gives me the chills the way it did back in the day. It’s a flawless album. You will love their earlier output Seventeen Seconds, Faith, Pornography and their most recent album Songs Of A Lost World, which has been getting fantastic reviews. I admit I’m jealous of the journey you’re about to make. Ps. If you love Disintegration you MUST listen to the live album Entreat. The versions of the songs on Disintegration are even more intense on that one. Best live album ever by any band in my book.

They've just released their first album for 16 years - Songs Of A Lost World - give that a listen. Would also recommend Faith, Pornography and The Head On The Door from their back catalogue

would love to see more goth album reactions! great classics I think of are like The Scream or Juju by Siouxsie and the Banshees, In the Flat Field by Bauhaus or obviously Hidden Pleasures by Joy Division

I also recommend the side project The Glove by Robert Smith and the Steven Severin of the Banshees.

My favorite of all time! The Cure is my favorite band! It evokes so many feelings. The only other album that does that to me is “It Won’t Be Like This All the Time” by Twilight Sad. That is another great listen with melancholy feelings.

Watching you discover what I consider the best single complete work (end to end) by any band was awesome. I could see it made you feel the way it made many of us feel - like we had never heard anything like it before, and would likely never hear anything like it again. Subscribed.

I agree, it was the second Cure album I listened to right after Disintegration. And it was because I wanted to see Disintegration live and I bought the Trilogy DVD where they played Pornography-Disintegration-Bloodflowers albums completely. It was very powerful, I loved it. Different to Disintegration, but still an amazing experience. I went to listen the studio version after I watched the DVD.

As an old Cure fan, I love hearing your appreciation for this beautiful music. And I love that you're not afraid to give your interpretations of lyrics that are full of mystery, depth, and symbolism. Hoping you continue your journey with The Cure. Especially with their latest album, "Songs of a Lost World." Which in my opinion is another masterpiece since Disintegration. Thanks again, enjoyed listening!

Great reactions. Love this album. Haven't listened to it in so long, great to hear it again with you. You need some Siouxsie and the Banshees in your reactions (Robert Smith was a member).

The live in Rome version of Underneath the Stars is of Disintegration quality though very different in tone. Tbh it can be hard to find such quality in their later works.

Well, that's like saying Pink Floyd's works after Dark Side of the Moon weren't as good. It's true, but when you've already created perfection... even your next best album is still going to be good.

@@zoeherriot Correct. Rob is a true artist imo. I think he has seeded romance in the hearts and minds and souls of many people. He has also taken certain forms of unhappiness, that were often a source of despair, and turned them into a thing of beauty and, uh, nobility.

@@PuLsarSevenMC I worked at record stores from 1990-2016. I saw the internet destroy the music business. Everything is autotuned now. I tried weird artists that dress like Bjork but no one has the talent to pull it off. you can try suggesting artists but I stopped trying after the industry sued bloggers who promoted artists by having downloads.
