I know it's been a long time since you posted any videos...not sure if you even check out here anymore, but I found this video and really just wanted to say thank you for posting it. I'm one of the not-so-lucky ones (I came out last Mother's Day and that is the last time either of my parents have talked to me)...and I seriously could feel EVERY emotion on your face as you told your story. I guess I just wanted to say that seeing you with Alyssa gives me hope that despite all the pain of this journey, maybe one day it will have been worth it all. Hope you are well and happy. And thanks again for making me feel less alone

I have been putting off coming out to my parents for one and a half years now (I am out to my brother and to my closest friends) and it's eating me alive. But hearing about how you came out to your parents is really making me want to do it now. Hopefully I'll find the courage to do it soon :) But just the thought of uttering those words out loud to them makes me freak out. So I think I'm gonna write a letter as well...
