His recklessness and bloodlust brought a lot of unwanted attention to the organization and he died alone in a gun battle against state forces.
Miguel Felix Gallardo, El Mayo, El Chapo, Amado Carrillo Fuentes all betrayed and gave out mfs positions to the military or federales to get the positions they were at before.

We were told that in 2012, there was a shootout in the town square. That was the reason why Mexican feds patrolled the town square with high-powered rifles. It felt safe while we were there. And one morning while going out with my grandpa to buy tortillas, the military convoys came rolling down the cobblestone streets. It was quite the sight to behold.
