    This worked, thanks 👍🏼 For anyone else trying this, lot the Maxi climber on its side, it's much easier to hold all the parts in place and align the bolt when replacing it. WD40 didn't work at all, I used silicon grease 👍🏼

    I was spraying W-D between the screws. You're a genius! I never would have figured this out. It worked! Thank you!

    Besides squeaking have you experienced another issue with the maxiclimber? I bought mine about two months ago and just last week i began having this issue that cuts my exercise to only 5 mins because of how unbearable it gets. I started noticing the pedals would rub on the metal and scrape its sides. Didnt put much thought to it until the friction between the pedals and the metal was too much it caused each step to be bumpy because the plastic would stick on the metal because of the heat. Have you experienced this?

    • @SantosFamily
      @SantosFamily  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      No other issues with it besides the squeaking. I did notice the metal scraped off the sides but mines didn't have the bumpy feeling or maybe I never really noticed because my main focus was on the intolerable noise it made.

    Would it have been easier to drop some WD40 into the port? That’s quite a tweak for such a squeek. ...just curious... I’m considering this machine and read reviews of this exact problem.

    I bought mine June 2020, started at 3min, then 5min. at a time; At present time am doing at least an hour every other day and I have noticed that it fells like the cord is GETTIN STUCK, breaking, non-smooth,. a "Bumpy ride". I do not see any debris underneath.., any comments on what could be causing the "rough pedaling"?, thanks! (btw I bought the CLASSIC).

      It does feel bumpy after a lot of use, it's normal and it doesn't botherme. The rollers are the problem. You can always call customer service so they can send you new ones.

    Can someone please help? I have used the MaxiClimber for 7months now and I found that it’s getting harder to use as the left pedal seems really stiff ( the inner metal is also getting scraped as I see black residue in the floor), the MaxiClimber is squeaky badly too!

    The company should have created an access port or a greaseless gear that is rediculous how long did your service of their machine last? Thank you for the warning seems like they the company needs to improve on this.

    Can someone please direct me to the roller replacement instructions for the XL? I love the MaxiClimber for all the reasons noted, used it for the last 3 years, so bought 3 of them now, including the new XL. I am a serious fitness guy, so use mine on a regular basis. What most advertisements do not tell you is that the rollers wear out with continued use. On the positive side, the MaxiClimber Parts Department, sold me a low cost 3 year warranty part replacement for their basic model. Now the rollers have worn on my XL, and I am pleased their Parts Dept. promptly sent me a replacement set of new rollers which are still under a 1 year warranty, so this was good. They do not have a 3 year warranty available for their XL at this time. The Parts Dept. however, was unable to tell me how to replace the XL rollers (different from the basic model rollers), said replacement instructions would be included, but no such instructions were included and I am uncertain how to replace them at this time. Can someone please direct me to the roller replacement instructions for the XL? (FYI, the basic MaxiClimber and XL , each use a different quantity, 6 vs. 8 respectfully, and different type of rollers, so make sure you request the proper ones for your model when needed.) Otherwise, these are fantastic machines for many reasons!

    I just bought mine yesterday and it’s squeaking right out of the box. I bought WD40 thinking I could fix it that way. I wish I saw this video before purchase, I would not have bought it. Now I have spent the money and can’t use it until I find someone with the tools to fix it.

    Due to the amount of stress on that plastic pulley it should have a ball bearing insert.

    The problem I face is that there is a LOT of friction and rubbing being caused from the up/down. I can see bits black pieces from the wheel as it rubs on the pole. Recently, I have sprayed some lubricant on it. This seems to work, but I have to re-apply. Is there any grease that I can use which will not quickly fade away due to the heat caused by the friction of going up/down? TIA

      @@bethann2165 Don't what made me check this out today. I haven't used it since my last post. Thanks for the info. I'm afraid that new rollers won't be much better. BEST FIX IS TO DRILL OUT HOLE TO FIT A STANDARD SIZED SELF LUBRICATING BRONZE BUSHING. PRESSING IN A SELF LUBRICATING BRONZE BUSHING WOULD BE THE BEST LONG TERM FIX. A PETROLIUM BASE LUBE ON PLASTIC IS NOT A GOOD FIX SINCE PLASTIC IS MADE OF PETROLIUM IT WILL NOT LAST FOR YEARS AND YEARS
