    "I love fiction so much. A lot of it is pretend."

      Ya, and what makes fiction so cool is that to work it has to make sense, whereas the truth does not have to make sense.

    This is the best segment on the show, period.

      Definitely one of the best on the show, i especially love how they keep milking and stretching the intro towards the skit as well

    That’s my favorite book and I love how he couldn’t have gotten it more wrong 😂

      Well I like how his introduction to it was kind of right when he said a lot of fiction is pretend, since this book is actually based on a true story.

      Hey stop judging his judgment of the book based on its cover. I’m pretty sure he’s knows what he’s talking about. He’s on the Internet and he seems really smart with specs on.

      Wait are you saying this book isn't actually about an architect who accidentally built the tower of London instead of an airport?

    Fred should write a book, then judge it by its cover.

    LOL.. It's also funny how he described the architects job in reverse. They make the blueprints, not build what's on them. Architects don't build, they design.

    Having to go out to LA must take so much time out of his day, if only there was something you could do while you were on the plane.

    Doesn’t sesh usually read the back cover to tell us what the books really about at the end?

    • @shanerothery
      @shanerothery 5 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      @Mark Frias Nope, they've done several weeks worth. And yep, Seth usually does.

    • @goldwincs
      @goldwincs 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yea, maybe they feel that part didn't really add much to the whole segment, so they decided to cut that part out... or seth's just forgot.

      They probably went over time and had to go to ad break- usually the funniest part is the comparison between the back cover and the story but this week it was super outlandish and Seth broke so he probably made an executive decision

      Here you go:
      One morning while passing through Grand Central Terminal on her way to work, Grace Healey finds an abandoned suitcase tucked beneath a bench. Unable to resist her own curiosity, Grace opens the suitcase, where she discovers a dozen photographs-each of a different woman. In a moment of impulse, Grace takes the photographs and quickly leaves the station.
      Grace soon learns that the suitcase belonged to a woman named Eleanor Trigg, leader of a network of female secret agents who were deployed out of London during the war. Twelve of these women were sent to Occupied Europe as couriers and radio operators to aid the resistance, but they never returned home, their fates a mystery. Setting out to learn the truth behind the women in the photographs, Grace finds herself drawn to a young mother turned agent named Marie, whose daring mission overseas reveals a remarkable story of friendship, valor and betrayal.
      Vividly rendered and inspired by true events, New York Times bestselling author Pam Jenoff shines a light on the incredible heroics of the brave women of the war and weaves a mesmerizing tale of courage, sisterhood and the great strength of women to survive in the hardest of circumstances.

    I can feel all the Brits lurking in this comments section, waiting for someone to correct Fred and say it's Big Ben so they can barrel in with an ACTUALLY BIG BEN IS THE NAME OF THE BELL

    • @jonathanraithel5726
      @jonathanraithel5726 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not only that, but Big Ben isn’t in the Tower of London. It’s in the Clock Tower of the Palace of Westminster, while the Tower of London is a castle on the easter edge of the City of London.
      (To clarify further, the City is London is to London what Manhattan is to New York. The things you learn on Wikipedia.)

      @@joshchapman2735 No, it's not political at all. What trump and his cult is engaging is not politics but a sheer clown show. Besides, what Fred said at 2:22 sounds awfully similar to what Trump would actually say.

      It's ok. Everyone has a different sense of humour. But what I find funny about Fred is just the way he talks 😂 and also just the fact that he's making up the synopsis on the spot makes it even funnier

      I'm a pretty tolerant guy. No one would describe me as a meathead, but I'm about to say a meat-headed thing.
      This guy is one of the most inherently punchable men on the planet. He has rubbed me as far the wrong way as he possibly could from day one, and my reasons for regarding him so are somewhat nebulous to me. I just F'ing don't like him one bit.

      he’s so incredibly funny and talented in my eyes because everything he says and does is all actually improv. he makes all these elaborate stories and scenarios on the spot and he manages to make make everything funny despite having super vague prompts.

    Not true at all. It's actually the female followers of Peter Pan who are living in Paris waiting for Peter Pan to come back and get them.
