Ooooh this is gonna be so much fun, I love that you used the parts from the model a that were no good, despite not being good for cars, they are perfect for projects like this. Now I know you’ll take care of yourself, but make sure you wear protection when you take it for a spin, nice and slow till you are certain the kart will hold. By the way do you have a name for the kart?
Thanks for watching and following along on the journey. I’m an ex speedway driver so all safety protocols necessary will be undertaken, and racing components will be installed to hopefully hold it all together when it’s rattling away around a track. No name as of yet, great idea!
Great work, loving your project, particularly because its in Oz. I'd like to build one myself but thought a budget of $2K wouldn't be possible so it would be great if you could share a list of where you get your parts from, particularly wheels, front end and rear end components. Keep up the great work.
Hi Tim, Andrew here - Noel’s son. I know dad got the wheels and the bulk of the components from China through Ali Express and has been surprised and pleased with the quality. Next kart we build I’ll make sure dad keeps track of where everything comes from and we’ll make a downloadable pdf available . Thanks for watching mate!
@@junkyardracer57 Hi Andrew would it be possible to get your dad to give specs on a few particular parts? - WHEELS with hub axle diameter, FRONT SPINDLES with axle length and diameter, REAR AXLE dimensions. Thanks.
Will be taking it for the first run this week, will let everyone know how it’s operating in the next video - thanks for watching! (The wheels are from Ali Express)
Hi there thanks for watching. Dad is putting the finishing touches on the kart as we speak and we’ll be making a walk around video in which dad will go over all the specs and how we got from video 1 to the finished product. There’s been a few delays and hiccups but hoping to have all the information online very soon - Andrew
Hey. Ivan here from Perth WA. Getting ready to start a cycle kart build. Any chance of getting a list of suppliers for parts? Basically all I've got Isa motor and fuel tank. I'd appreciate any help you can suggest. Cheers
Hi Ivan, I don’t have a parts list but I’d suggest joining some Aussie cyclekart Facebook groups for some tips. I sourced some of my kit online from Ali Express, eBay and marketplace.
Old guys rule! Especially ex engineers and racers. You're sure not hanging about on this project. Most definitely looking forward to the next episode.
Thank you so much. There’s been a few delays recently but we’re in the home stretch. Will be uploading a walk around and driving video soon.
Great watching this come together! Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Fantastic...Thanks for sharing...
My pleasure and thanks for watching
Noel, that is great. Your Kart is coming along well. I love the whole idea of the body hinging up. Keep up the great work 👍🙂
Thanks Troy, next video should show how the hinged hood works, along with some driving footage!
Nice work Noel! Its coming along great.
Thanks Brad, stay tuned for a few hot laps in the next video!
CycleKart looking great can't wait to see it rolling
You and me both! Getting very exciting

Not far away now! Frame is welded. Time for painting, assembly, adjustment and then hit the road!

How do you like those wheels. From amazon? I like that front end design.

How long is the entire vehicle and the wheel base?
