Seen them in the Amersham Arms and in the Island at Ilford they were are just magic and great guys 😂😂which just goes to show it’s not true about meeting your heroes ? 🤩
Love the song, of course, but I agree with the other comments that the imagery is inconsistent with its lyrics and vibe. I guess it was an attempt to make the band more appealing to a US audience, which is a shame; part of the charm of Squeeze is their quintessential domestic Englishness.
One of my favorite Squeeze songs, but then they all are. Tthe places in the song are so English, and the video being set in Hollywood doesn't jibe with the words. But it makes Hollywood look like it does, unlike say Amy Winehouse's video of Tears Dry on Their Own, which makes Hollywood Boulevard look like a nightmare of freaky punchy people.
Great song from one of my favourite Squeeze albums. Tilbrook's guitar playing on this track is sublime.
Play is my favorite Squeeze album (which is saying a lot as I love all their albums)...

Challenge on. Add that to the set!
Please come back to Arizona!
Funny juxtaposition between the London-centric lyrics and the video's setting...
Can anyone explain the fish relay?
