    For me this has stood the test of time. I still could make a solid stance as to why this is GREAT and why the sisters are on the same mental shelf as many other greats from the 1950s up. CLASSIC

    My friend was going to RADA in London, and when she came back to the USA she had a 1982 bootleg of TSOM. Not this one, but apparently, they were/are the most bootlegged band ever! Especially since the group ceased recording activity in 1993, when they went on strike against Time Warner, which they accused of incompetence and withholding royalties. Although Time Warner released them from their contract in 1997, they have not signed to another label, despite showcasing numerous new songs in their live sets.

    Listening to 'Good Things', you realise Eldritch revisted some of the same themes (and put a few of the lyrics to use) five years later for 'Dominion' and 'This Corrosion'.

    Thanks for the great download, I got into the Sisters late, on the 2nd wave of 'British Goth' in 1989-/'91 so love coming across the earlier stuff. Anybody know of any 1987 Floodland gigs, with Patricia? I'd be greatful if they did, and shared it.

    • @lovelystuff1562
      @lovelystuff1562 6 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      Lee, The Sisters didn't play any live gigs to promote the Floodland era.
      Infact, between June 1985 & November 1990, they didn't play a single gig...almost 5.5 years!

      Have you read Andrew's sleeve notes to Some Girls Wander By Mistake?
      "Gary Marx and I knew each other from the F Club. He was a big fan of The Fall. I was a big fan of Père Ubu, and we both loved The Stooges. Everybody loved The Stooges. Gary had no money and no equipment, but he wanted to hear himself on the radio. So we made a record with no money and no equipment, and we heard it on the radio. Pressed a thousand copies (thanks to Red Rhino in York, whose credit we used at the plant), sold a few. Even at the time, it was hard to get and even harder to listen to. That should have been the end of it, but...
      We hooked up with Craig Adams, probably because he lived above the chemist too. He was a big fan of Hawkwind and Motorhead, and he had this bass sound which suddenly defined The Sisters - along with the drum machine, which we bought because we all loved Suicide. Everybody loved Suicide. The drum machine became Dr. Avalanche. Gary became a guitar player, and I became the singer, almost by default."
