    Takes me right back to my teens! Had a 97 TSI AWD and then traded that for a 99 Eclipse GSX. Wish I never got rid of ‘em! After the Need for speed/Fast & Furious era it’s getting so hard to find a nice stock example of these, especially the Talon’s.

Means my 90k mile 2gb eclipse gsx, 98 tsi awd or my last 1g awd aren't being sold period even tho I've gott'n back into the supra game.

    I had one of these. It was a 1990 Eagle Talon Tsi AWD. The 4G63t engine was an amazing platform that's capable of some amazing power figures. I have built many of them, including one that I built and swapped into my 1992 Plymouth Colt hatchback. This Talon is what's known as a "1gb" meaning a 1st generation, second design. My 1990 had a different rear end.

    besides center caps, the wheels are also distinctively missing lugnuts. and someone BETTER save this poor thing. 80's and 90's surviors are rare as hens teeth 'cause they usually get driven into the ground or were turned into "rolling radios"...and finding out that there's a surviving Eagle out there is jaw dropping enough.

    On that flat paint... try using some transmission fluid. It's an old, very old, car show trick. Just wipe it on, and watch as it shines up like new. It will only last for a few days, at most, but it will give you a very good idea of what it would look like when it's repainted.

    • @rodmunch69
      @rodmunch69 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Just Relaxing I was just a kid with no money and an old rusted crappy looking car and some old guy told me about it, and it worked remarkably well. It was also great in that it kept idiots from sitting on your car, since they'd get oil all over them. As I said it would generally last a few days - although I mainly used it when I was going on a date or going to show off since it shined up the car like it was brand new. Not sure how a used car salesman would pull this off since the coat would literally feel like it was coated in oil.

    Just an FYI Eagle was Chrysler's captive import brand originally for former AMC's captive brand engineered products inherited from Chrysler's purchase of AMC in 1987. Eagle was also the brand for AMC's badge engineered Renault cars. This brand was largely phased out by the mid 90s. The Talon got a brief life as a badge engineered clone for the first and second generation Diamond Star Motors or DSM cars including the Mitsubishi Eclipse and first gen only Plymouth Laser.

    a trick to help get rust stains or of carpet is to use Lenons and some salt also use cold water I stead of hit water from a steamer. add lemon juice and 1-2 tsp of salt and use a tiwl. soak the towel in the mixture and the try and lightly scrub that area. If that doesn't work you can use a Rust stain remove like Rust Oleum Whink Rust Remover, or Iron Out rust stain remover

    Looks like both of the passenger side wheels are backwards. Other words they should be on the drivers side of the car. Not to mention a lug nut or 2 might be missing. So the passenger side wheels were probably damaged then replaced with wheels that are directional and should be on the drivers side of the car.

    • @vaultsoferowid
      @vaultsoferowid 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      All Eagle Talon rims are made the same. That means that the wheels on one side of the car will point one direction, while the wheels on the other side of the car will point the other direction.
      With that being said, these are not OEM rims. They are not the 1GA, 1GB, 2GA, or 2GB rims that came on any Talon. They closely resemble the 2GB rims while missing the center line strike-through on the wheel spoke.

    I’d try and stay with the 4G63 original motor. It was an amazing very capable of mod handling engine. But if not I’d swap a Honda K-series Eng bc they’re are easily available and it is also an amazing motor capable of high Hp #’s with retaining that Honda reliability. Either Eng I’d definitely do an OEM Plus. Very clean upgraded performance mods.

    The wheel is missing 2 lug nuts. Some guy I was buying a car from 3 hours away told me it could make the drive back to my house 3 hours, and it had multiple lugs missing from each wheel

    You have to put a Talon engine back in there. It doesn't have to be "stock", but any other engine just wouldn't be right.
    These cars are *INSANE* fast!

    The wheels are not from an Eagle Talon or that Eagle Talon, but rather from it's "Sister" car the Mitsubishi Eclipse.

    Both the wheels and the manscape demonstration were missing some nuts. 😉

    The original engine with turbo would give 195 horsepower. Being a Mitsubishi engine, that's pretty good. However an engine from a Mitsubishi 3000gt would be even better. Up to you, but original engine type may make the car worth more?

    It would be soooo cool to put it a 2jz engine and make it a Drift Car 😎

    Talon and Laser all use the Eclipse body and the Mitsubishi engine. This car would have had the 2.0 liter DOHC and the turbocharger. It's a truly rare car and deserves to be saved. This engine stock had 200 HP. So, you don't have to use the "original" engine. A Mitsubishi engine of the same type will look, and perform, as well as the original. Minor upgrades to the cam and turbo will see significant increases in speed over stock. Love this car and hope the buyer sees it's worth.

    I know EXACTLY where this car came from! I’ve seen it for years wanting it from the party you bought it from. If I’m right, this party you bought it from has a Superbird and ALOT of Chrysler/ Dodge turbo cars
