Your acting as if the Labour party is one big united block. They are basically two parties. Just look at the differences between the leader and the deputy. They may get a majority but it doesn't mean it will be stable. A reform party presence in parliament could have a larger influence on how the country is governed than most people realise.
Keir Starmer and Angela Rayner have worked hand in hand to get Labour to this point.They actually respect each other sorry to break it to you
The host is what’s wrong with this country. Don’t blame Reform for trying. If the people wish to vote Reform then that’s their right regardless. You have to start somewhere and it definitely doesn’t mean they will win 2 terms. They have to govern and govern well to achieve that.

Labour is falling much closer to the centre ground than it is left-wing these days. The only socialist policy i can think of is Great British Energy. The rest is little to no deviation from Conservative policy, e.g. cut immigration despite our workforce crying out for foreign workers at present.

On foreign workers, it's true that we are reliant on immigrants workers to fill certain jobs, for example crop-picking. Immigrant workers are willing to accept low pay for this job, where indigenous people don't seem to. I suspect this is because indigenous people need to earn a certain amount from work in order to make it economically viable, due to the high cost of living Vs level of universal credit. People who live near farms are likely to live in rural areas which are normally more expensive to live in, therefore if they're in receipt of universal credit, their wage will be deducted from that award (minus a small disregard) and their time spent working has the appearance of time wasted. Immigrant workers have lower costs like housing, they come over for the work and seem more willing/able to accept cheaper multiple occupancy forms of accommodation.
Do you suggest we leave doctor and nurse positions unfilled for many years whilst we train up our own workforce? While indigenous drs/nurses are training up students, who will do their work? We need foreign workers. If you're going to argue otherwise, spell out your argument with reasons.

I don’t agree with this presenter. My guess is that Reform is being very coy about doing well in this election, and trying to come across as the underdogs. But if they get the country behind them then Reform could trounce Labour and make Farage PM. Good luck to Reform, I’ll vote for them and I take this presenter’s comments with a large pinch of salt….hopefully he’ll be surprised at how well Reform do.

Who was the candidate in Clacton? If it is Reform's most winnable seat then the previous candidate is presumably is quite good. He or she should stand somewhere else.

I am puzzled by the apparent sheer hate and loathing of the Reform party towards Tories. Are Reforms all hard right? Can you explain please? (I am a floating voter)
Reform is more conservative than the Tories (I hate labels of right and far right). Reform is very angry at the Tories for not delivering on any of their promises and they want to build an alternative party that is aligned to the needs of the public. On the Labour side, Starmer, Rayner, Lammy etc are not moderates and have no vision for the country.
Reform is a normal centre right party who are angry at the Tory betrayal. In 2019 Farage stood the party down to let the Tories win because the Tories promised to be right wing. Instead we got Rishi Sunak - the most left wing prime minister since James Callaghan.
The Tories have moved so far left they are now indistinguishable from Labour. We need a good government with a strong opposition. For too many years we've had neither. Yet the ineffective opposition is now to become the government. God help us. It's desperately now time for change. Reform UK is the only alternative out there.
I think Reform is the most plain speaking party that ticks most peoples boxes!

England is a conservative (with a small c) country and since the days of Disraeli the Tories have been a ‘one nation’ broad church.
The reality is that hardline white Christo-Nationalism at most only represented 15% of conservative voters and we have seen this time and time again. The likes of Oswald Mosely and Enoch Powell all thought at the time that their ‘day had come’ but soon found that this was not the case.
I’m sure Farage deep down understands this which is why he has been so reluctant up to now to take over Reform UK and stand for a seat in a FPTP system.
Clacton is near where he lives and has seen strong support for the BXP in the past so it’s a good choice for him.
So much for him saying he would leave the UK if Brexit failed and then said recut had failed. Will he be attending Westminster by Zoom if he wins in Clacton as he should be outside the UK?

Thanks guys, Times Radio genuinely captures the mood of the people. Can I suggest a practical and economically viable solution to immigration which was not viable 10 years ago, but with technological advances and the scale of the immigration problem is now actually "profitable" for the UK tax payer. : Bio-metric ID can now be phased in over a five year period at a cost of circa $350 per issued card. This means that 22 million cards covering every 18 to 45 year old male in the UK could be issued for £7.7 Billion over 5 years.... This is a fraction of the current cost of immigration!
Please note the phasing and prioritising using (1) Gender. (2) Age. (3) Ethnicity would mean that 100% of all 18 to 30 year old men (the highest risk group) could be covered within 2 years. Combined with enhanced border patrol and immigration policing, with enhanced stop and search ID card checks we could deport 100% of the problem migrants within 3 years. Please consider this solution as Reform voters will LOVE this and it is a fair and equitable solution to the existential threat of past, present and future legal and illegal migration. Thanks in advance for your time.
