Day 5 of asking for gta ramp gameplay
MTV when it was mostly music videos with shows sprinkled throughout, like Daria, Downtown, Undergards, Beavis and Butthead, Cribs, Aeon Flux and Clone High.
Now the channel has zero music and mostly have TV shows like Catfish or Teen Mom.
Everyone has a PDA now. Its called your mobile device.
A what, I was born in the mid 2000s
I was born in 07 and i remember the pay phones and the landlines god those where soo fun. I was allowed to answer the phone cause we never had to deal with people tracking the phone.
Calling something gay without it being seen as homophobic
Owning. The thing you bought. Rather than subscribing to it.
Using the thing you own until it breaks. Rather than 'updates' ordering it to slow down until you replace it.
Buying a thing without a boatload of bloatware spying on you.
My dad gave me his Atari and Nintendo 64 and I used them for nealy two decades. I can't use Word or Adobe Photoshop on my ancient and still working computer if it's connected to the internet.
About wearing clothes backwards: I did that in the 90ties and early 2000ties.
I always wore my shirt backwards in Art Class.
PBS was the best when it came to education shows. And speaking of tv shows, I loved watching Hercules and Xena with all action, excitement, drama, romance, chaos, crossovers between both shows, etc.
Thomas Guide and/or giving directions by landmarks…. “Turn when you see the yellow house on the right corner and if you pass a red house you have gone to far”…😂😂
I actually prefer the commentary thanks
Story 30: oh, god yes! Surge was *_amazing._* It is the only soda I went out of my way to buy, especially when it slowly started being discontinued. I'm pretty sure they just put cocaine in it and didn't tell anyone.
Apparently Burger King in the US has, or had, it in those 'free style' soda machines as an excursive item. It's good, but it's just not the same as original Surge.
Yep! Burger King in the US has/had Surge in the touch screen fountain.
I haven't been to Burger King recently, so I don't know if it's still there.
@@EvilPaladin11 last time I had it it was like last year and I live in the north west of the USA. So maybe it's still there, but I rarely eat at BK myself so I don't know.
Alright, I will break my usual protocol and go to Burger King to test this. Note that I live in Pocatello, Idaho, at the moment, so my results may be different from yours.
Sorry that I did not come back sooner. My local Burger King did not have Surge. Neither did the one at the Salt Lake City airport nor did the one in Gila Bend, Arizona.
@dannypipewrench533 Breaking your personal protocol to bring us the latest Surge Intel is quite the sacrifice!
Thank you for your noble sacrifice in service to the comments section!
Because of you, we all now know to continue to avoid Burger King, because there's nothing of value there anymore.
Haha, that comment about anime. I knew a dude, 15 at the time, who asked for Super Sentai Megaranger (the show used for Power Rangers in Space in the US.) Mom wasn't paying attention and got the unedited original 1989 Legend of the Overfiend due to "Sentai" rhyming with the H word.
Funny, he knew what it was when he saw the cover and he told her. She didn't believe him. Put it in the VCR and, well...yeah, she was absolutely horrified.
9:49 Excuse the f**k out of me so we’re just going to ignore One Direction big time rush BTS boy bands already came back
And yes I should know they are if you checked my common history you would know I am a boy band neeerrrd
I really like it when you do the commentary on the topic
yup, he sounds like the guy on Krapopolis and what we do in the shadows !!
Kayfabe in the world of professional wrestling. Tricks of the trade and knowing roster transactions before they are made publicly exposed the business.
Another is VH1 MTV and BET showing music videos.
Can't relate to many of these.
I was born in 2000, but I didn't actually "consciously exist" until about 2010, and that's giving myself too much credit😂
Children playing outdoors and roaming the neighborhood unsupervised. Those were the days!😢
Car phones are gone.
Wow. I forgot about Ninja Scroll. That was one of the first anime I ever watched, and I was definitely too young to be watching it. Somehow, I was way more unbothered by violence in my youth.
I'm actually glad anime is more accessible now. But I have fond memories of its beginnings. I may still have the soundtrack for the English dub of Sailor Moon in my car, which also still has a CD player. 😆
This thread just kind of annoyed me
it was about 90% people going on a boomer-esque "back in my day" rants fueled purely on nostalgia goggles, not actual reality
Yup. For instance, you did have to pay for television, unless you wanted like 10 channels.
Made it
Cracker Jacks and the toy inside.
Moonshoes will never come back.
Secret Squirrel, anyone?
Network cables, I did my home renovation in 1995 and put a network cable socket in every room and could have upto 10 computers on ADSL at the same time, still use it, faster than wifi.
4 door sedan with a big V8, gone all SUV now.
Paper bills sent in the post.
Seeing a new movie on free to air TV
Dr Who on FREE to air TV.
MG sports cars, now are SUV's
Me still been slim and good looking "I was in my 30's" Now I'm a grumpy old fart with a pot belly "in my 60's"
When they said Life at the end of the video I thought they meant the cereal or boardgame. 😂
Me from the 90s...
My youth.
I definitely recognize the background gameplay footage as one of the most nostalgic games of my childhood
The more this narrator gets videos to do the more I think “is this guy a more competent and confident version of me?
I know about the wearing clothes backwards thing. It was because of a rap duo called Kriss Kross, they wore their clothes backwards. So we would have a Kriss Kross day at school where we wore our clothes backwards.
The voice in the video sounds like Gladiolus from Final Fantasy 15, and it's throwing me off super hard.
Pogs did have a come back 😂. I forget they existed until I saw a commercial for them
Going to the video shop to rent a movie on VHS and sometimes also renting a VHS machine if you weren't in one of the lucky households that had one.
The fall of the Soviet Union. A karge market opened and companies rushed in to vast market with a huge appetite for their goods
Please never have someone born in the late 90’s read something like this again, very annoying.
I loved shoulder pads, it made my silhouette more look more balanced
I completely forgot that Goober was a thing, that shit was ass!
They still sell goobers (peanut butter and jelly in the same jar) tho.
MTV's FEAR was the only reality show worth seeing on MTV.
Some of this I haven’t thought about in years. 🤯
Jolt pop was the 90s and will never return
Voice guy sounds like Markiplier
15:34 The Mac Daddy make ya...
During the year that I lived with my ex, the PE teacher for her 8 year old son taught them the macarana.
It'd annoy me that he didn't do it right, and that he didn't do it to the beat.
Basically, he'd rapidly flaps his arms in a vague semblance of the dance.
I was 6-8 when the macarana first came out and took the world by storm, and _I_ learned the dance and did it to the beat of the song.
Then again her son is a loud super hyper ADHD boy, and I was a pretty calm and quiet boy.
I was so quiet, that my mom had to occasionally check the rear view mirror to make sure that I was actually in the back seat, and that she hadn't accidentally left me behind.
No, we didn't break up because her son couldn't do the macarana right.
Thought I'd head off that potential joke.
I really wish Pogs would make a comeback.
I remember when pogs came back in emoji form. lol
Story 19 happened to me not too long ago but for reading and i was the only kid in the class that would ever do that
MINI MANSON XD
Pagers.
OJ Simpson
New episodes of Friends.
