Hello, Nice show of how to take apart your 4620 HP Office jet. I have the 4622 HP Office Jet and MY situation is different with an Error showing up on the printer screen saying::: The Print head appears to be missing, not detected, or incorrectly installed. What can you tell me would be the issue here or do I have a failed print head? I havent used this much and now, it giving me a code? Its still brand new condition and used about 200 sheets of paper over a 6 yr period, but its been kept in its original plastic film/bag and the foam surrounding to protect it inside the box. Basically, its been in storage and yes, the cartridges were NOT left in the print head. Not sure if it makes any difference but can you tell me if the real issue IS that the Print Head WILL need to be replaced and if so, Where do I get it? Hopefully they are NOT too expensive? I just bought replacement ink/after market brand. OK NOW after I cleaned the original print head with print head cleaner, I have noticed its NOT running like it should and the print head is now skipping hard when coming out of its storing place when it completes its cycle. Im not sure, WHY its doing this because it never did this before... What do you think is happening?
I have a HP 4620 that will not print black, I've cleaned the printer heads and noticed there's black ink laying on the bottom of the unit under the printer head. Any recommendations? Side note, I thought there was an ink tube leading from the cartridge to the print head, honest mistake, after watching this video I realized I'm wrong.
Hello --- Thanks vor the Video Please see my Prolem what I have with my Printer below -- I need realy the help of an Expert Can you help? or give my a hint where to find help. I'm a German and I have a HP 4622 wich had Problems by Printing. After watching few Videos I Opend the Printer took off the Printerhead and cleand it,I gave it a bath in a Small cub filed with about 3 mm of warm water. After reassembling the whole -- the Printer was printing !! The cleaning has worked!no error messages, -- the first test print was not the best but looks quit Ok After that I wanted to print out 2 PDF doc. These first 2 realy prints showed a dark grey vertikal line on the Paper. So I did another cleaning via the HP printer Menu / display. After that I tryed another testprint. Now there was nothing anymore on the Paper -- !! Printer does not print !! And there is a second issue The pinter-head-unit remains in the parking / rest position!! So I can't change the ink-container (can't take them out ) I would be glad to get a reply or help from you Thanks a lot in advance Rgards R. Louis

Thank you very much. I came to that same conclusion.
Thank you for posting this.
Did you use the correct model print head cause you said desk jet 3520 and the one you are fixing is a 4620? Does that make a difference?
Luis, did you get any response to this?
