I was in a labor union for 30 yrs. Less than 1/3 of the members voted democrat. It doesn't require one to be an accountant to see democrats are not good for retirement accounts.
Meanwhile, former Democratic national security adviser Susan Rice invested millions in fossil fuel companies while her party was telling us we need to divest ourselves of fossil fuel. During 4 yrs of Trump presidency, she raked in 21 million from her investments. These are the same ones tell you to drive an electric car.

Hopefully after Trump is long gone and things have settled down you can get your party back and regroup. Yes My SWEET MOM raised me to be the Man I am today, and I raised my Daughters in the same way. I praised and rewarded the good things they did and ignored the bad things. One Daughter said the T.V. helped Her study, She was right. She has Her masters and is teaching in North Carolina. One Daughter would challenge my thinking on some issues, She became a Lawyer. Im 45, and for the entire time ive been registered (proudly DEMOCRAT) to vote (27 years), the GOP has been like this....utterly CHILDISH. The way the engage in name calling and mud slinging, hate and vitriol, its all they know. They never talk policy, because their policies are designed to help corporations, big oil, and to line their own pockets. They never do anything to HELP average, hard working Americans, only the wealthy. All my adult life, in every election the choice has been CLEAR, to vote DEMOCRAT to keep this country moving forward. Us democrats have intellectual GIANTS like the Clintons, Barack Obama, and so many others. I'm 42 - my first election was Bush V Gore and I thought that would be the craziest in my life 😂 I guess most of the men in my life, including my BF of 6 years and Step-Dad are transitioning, as they're both voting for Harris (and I think either is able to defeat Waters in a war of words or strength - and step-dad is 75, lol)

They underestimated / misunderstood Trump then were chucked out themselves. Republicans like James Comey helped Trump get elected then realized Trump wasn't just another Republican. Comey probably knew he was a demagogue but surely Trump would mostly abide the law and respect the constitution? Right? ...right?
Nope. And Comey was fired pretty quickly for doing his job (i.e. investigating Trump for welcoming Russian election interference).
And the vast majority of competent people in Trump's administration were fired and replaced in a similar fashion.
MAGA values loyalty to Trump over all other traits, not competence (see JD Vance).
While that's great if you want to appoint attorney generals that won't prosecute you for election interference (after you interfere with an election), its not-so-good when you want to win difficult elections.
