Is that Oamaru Stone from the South Island of New Zealand?
It is so easy to carve, how did you get such large pieces back to the USA, certainly wasn't in your luggage. Be interested in seeing what else you brought home with you from NZ.

From what I understand from the artist he was living in New Zealand for a lot of years He had the blocks cut while he was there and shipped back
