La voix merveilleuse d'Arianna et son accompagnement à la harpe nous comblent de bonheur. Petter au chant et à la mandoline lui-aussi nous gratifie les sens et nous remplit d'émotions.

What wonderful voices! Such ensemble resonance... Mesmerizing. P.S.: Savall's rendition of the fabulous "Gracias a la Vida" gets under the skin. Montserrat - wherever she may be now - certainly is proud of her daughter's performance. Besides, the arrangement of this song for this concert is very original and lyrical.

Musica de paz, memoria y de lazos entre los pueblos , vuestra musica nos trae la belleza y la esperanza . Agradezco tanto poder escucharlos con canciones que viene de otros tiempos pero que siguen siendo tan importantes para los que como tenemos aun que descubrir esa esencia llamada origenes o genetica o vaya a saber que... gracias querida Arianna , Peter y a todos los que como ustedes hallaron la forma de transmitir el mensaje que de siglos atras va en las canciones que interpretan.

I am pretty sure that they are playing a "Son Jarocho" around minute @43:20, it reminds me so much to the sounds you find in La Huasteca Mexicana. The harp here substitutes the Marimba (xylophone), a characteristic instrument in this music. This style of music (Son Jarocho) is usually composed in 'décimas' (tenths), it is a stanza of ten octosyllabic verses, first created by the Murcian musician and poet Vicente Espinel in the year 1591.
While in Spain it only had its splendor during the Golden age, it had a great impact in Latinamerican culture. The Spanish exported Espinel's contribution (without intonation or musical rhythm) and used it for evangelization purposes. Their contribution to the evangelization process is difficult to determine; however, it is proven that the shape of the tenth fell into traditional culture. This form quickly acquired importance in work songs, serenades, lullabies and above all acquired a social function in itself: today, in different parts of Latin America, communities gather to attend decimist contests in which these demonstrate their ingenuity facing each other. Even the literary and illiterate groups appropriated it to integrate it into their daily lives.
