I remember that when I made my fursona I said to myself-it has to be the most representative of my person- and suddenly my mother started calling me a skunk (when she was angry) and a cat when I behaved well, so from there I got the inspiration to make a mexican skunk-cat
The biggest tip I can give is to have fun. You'll connect with your fursona a lot more. Also your fursona can end up a species you didn't expect it to be. I started out with a blue wolf named Skye. Then later on I also wanted a cat fursona. She was an orange cat named Mango. She stuck longer then Skye but I kept redesigning her since a design wouldn't stick. While I had Mango I got into Dust: An Elysian Tale. I loved Fidget and wanted a nimbat character for myself so I made a brown one named Vivie. She ended up just a bat character and became my main fursona. I think I went with brown either because at that time I was drinking coffee everyday or because I liked brown furry characters. She has darker brown and white as the other colors. A tail like Fidget's but with a tuft of fur at the end. And mint colored eyes. I am a Husky, Malamute and Wolf hybrid. And that means I have the tail of a malamute the snout of a wolf and the shape of a Husky. So I am mostly Husky. And btw nice video laser.
Back in 2018 when I first drew my fursona it was supposed to be based off a husky but it felt like it wouldn’t fit in for what was to come in the future so I used a wolf instead
Well I’ve done 2 fursuits so far I’m changing the 2nd fursuit into a kamono paws and feet done I just need my tail, but my first wasn’t original I was a black fox and was around 7 its been a long time since that I wish I could see it again. But I threw it away🙃-my second is in the process like I said feet and paws are done and it’s a partial it’s a fox/cat and it has blood on it’s face a flower acc and holding a knife in her mouth I was getting into the pink era and the original design was just a light pink fox with white and blue accs it was a full suit but now I’m and the one with blood on it’s face and I proud of the paws and feet I made
I'm just a hylian fox tbh... You know The Legend of Zelda? Yeah Link and Zelda are hylians a race in Hyrule. So, Lil'Fox was from Hyrule and she was never a fox to begin with she was a hylian... With pointy ears like Link and Zelda. She's also their child
The fact that I’m in the fandom I still don’t have one when I was thinking about I have nothing in my brain till now u gave me something to work with and maybe I’ll put as my pfp not the same as you tho but thank you for giving me a starting of my fursona😊
my fursona focusses on animal i like and the cape i really like but seam to get shuned from the community??? not shure why i wonder if my interest in demonology ore the fact i focuses also on the personality traits i both hate and cant hide????

My friend just told me about and I was like "Uh okay cool" and I made an edgy demon-wolf named Daymeon😭 He was extremely blue and very edgy Anyways long story short, he's my current sona, he got a major glow up last year so the saturated colors are gone and he's a grayish blue dragon-wolf who goes by Atticus
every one of my friends calls me a cat, cats are my favourite animals and literally, all my fursonas were a cat... But I kept changing it over and over again because I was not happy with it my newest fursona i have now is actually a ghost cat-deer hybrid?? It's a deer with very fluffy fur, and paws as hands (because i would die if my suit didn't have paws bc c'mon p a w s) and it also had feral teeth because I feel like that's nicer to draw for expressions. But besides that, body wise they are a deer, and I am way more comfortable with them :D (also yes they are a ghost. Like a friendly one that lives in your room)
My problem is I keep wanting different species but I’m not too keen on hybrids and certainly don’t want to make a shapeshifter, I went from dogs based on pets, red pandas for uniqueness, cats for uniqueness but not too unique, bunnies cause they’re cute, and now I wanna make a Mustelid cause of camp Mustelids But more obscure species have less bases, artists, and fursuit examples :’)
Lol it’s very unoriginal no offense or anything... but there is a whole Hybrid species that people use as fursona called a Manokit and it’s a Hybrid of a shark and fox
my fursona went from a bubble gum themed hyena named Button (which I'm planning to redesign)- a weird fluffy alien to a fluffy goblin with a huge nose lol
