@Mudguaard nice! I found a 300 foot tall small mountain/hill made of pure rhyolite and chalcedony on the west side of lake pleasant, north of Phoenix. I couldn't believe how much awesome material was there! It's fun exploring out there. So many cool things to find 😎
@Mudguaard very cool. I found some interesting things near bullhead city in the gravels near the Colorado river. Even petrified palm wood and blue and red colored chalcedony. Az is such a great state for rock hunting
Howdy your so close to one of my old hot spots may I suggest lookin lower and on smaller hills with more outcroppings closer to the road in and not to far out but you guys are finding plenty of good ones COOL! Im in Northern Nv now. try about 3/8 of a mile south of the old dump along side mountain side. Chalcedony clusters completely free of its host rock very cool ones from golf ball size to soccer ball size very clear bubbly and such lol. I can turn you on to plenty of other spots if you like. Im all about family fun, ALL THE BEST! ps the great Mohave rattlesnake like more sandy areas, BUT they can be any were but dont let it stop you guys🤠
That hill I am on in the start is not really Jill's Hill. We search all the lower sides of Dan's property. And there is much to find in the broken rock near the top of some of the lower hills! Thank You for responding!
I was a good fisherman along the coast of Massachusetts. People hated me because I talked openly about where to go to find the best fish. It's the same with rocks, Some wouldn't share their spots with family members. I on the other hand will tell you exactly where I found stuff so that you can find some also. Love the bubbly chalcedony from Arizona. Ive found a lot of it! Still amazes me how many agates are in places there. Nice rhyolite too!
There are many in the rocks at the tops of the hills also. But that's for next year.

Snakes do not bother me. I go looking for them. Got my first encounter in Nevada. It's on a video in my TH-cam page somewhere.
