LISZT 12 Transcendental Etudes
Yunchan Lim launched onto the international music stage when he was 14. He won second prize and the Chopin Special Award in his first-ever competition, the Cleveland International Piano Competition for Young Artists in 2018. That same year, he stood out as the youngest participant in the Cooper International Competition, where he won the third prize and the audience prize, which provided the opportunity for him to perform with the Cleveland Orchestra. 2019 meant more accolades, when, at the age of 15, he was the youngest to win Korea’s IsangYun International Competition, where he also took home two special prizes.
Now just 18, he has performed across South Korea-including with the Korean Orchestra Festival, Korea Symphony, Suwon Philharmonic, and Busan Philharmonic Orchestras, among others-as well as in Madrid, at the invitation of the Korea Cultural Center in Spain. He also participated in the recording of “2020 Young Musicians of Korea,” organized by the Korean Broadcasting System and released that November.
A native of Siheung, Yunchan currently studies at the Korea National University of Arts under Minsoo Sohn. Coming to Fort Worth, he says he is “looking forward to playing in front of the warmest and most passionate audience in the world.” - เพลง

This piece is the most beautiful nocturne ever written. I have been in love with it for the past 23 years, and Yuncham Lim has given the most emotional interpretation I will ever hear
Lim doesn't play the piano; he engages the keys to conspire with him to be the best story-teller of these exquisite études. I'm sure this Steinway is in a state of grace.after such an achievement.

이 나이때 피아니스트가 흔히 '기교는 완성되어있고 이제부터 예술성을 끌어올려야지' 듣는데 윤찬군은
예술 그 자체이며 화신인 느낌이다.

음악에도 표정에도 회상을 한 가득 담아내고 연주하네요
아름다웠던 일 고통스러웠던일 다 지나간일 가슴에 묻어 두자고 표현 하네요

However, don't cut off before the applause! The applause is part of the entire piece.
There were no applause. He played all 12 studies and only at the end were applause.
Breathtakingly beautiful. His brilliant pauses - perfectly timed, sensitively executed - add suspense and tension and expectation. I found myself actually holding my breath waiting for the next note to sound. And when it sounded, I exhaled in satisfaction and wonder. This is how Liszt meant a piece about reminiscences to be played. Lim plays with transcendental understanding. He is a marvel. Horowitz would have loved him.
