Hi! Question for you all my stitching life I’ve stitched in-hand using the sewing method. I’m now working on a very large piece (23x26”) and still using sewing method... quite cumbersome🙄 I’m determined to learn to use the frame for these large pieces. Waiting for mine to arrive. Are you right handed? So you use your right hand UNDER the frame and left on top? I know that a lot will depend on my practicing ... I HAVE to learn how to do this. Thanks. ❤️
I am right handed but I do use my left hand on top when I stitch two handed. However I have a friend who is also right handed and uses her right hand on top so you can truly do it either way, just whichever works for you. Someone in one of our chats said they do their left hand on top as it needs more supervision hahahaha. I do have a video on two handed stitching that goes into more detail on how I do it. www.embroidery.com/help.ec?docid=3578&efid=4703 You can do a sewing stitch with the scroll frames which would be a type of two handed stitching. First leave a little bit of slack in the fabric when you scroll it up, so don't scroll it drum tight. This will give your bottom hand a bit of room to push up the fabric as you stitch. If you need me to I can do a video on how to do a sewing stitch with the scroll frames. Just let me know. Check out my Needlework Blog on Embroidery.com I have lots of EZ Stitch Videos along with some Tip & Technique videos that have a bunch of information included in them. I hope this helps Happy Stitching! Donnett
Thanks for the demonstration Donnett. I’m looking at my lap stand now and thinking I need to make some adjustments.
Can you use any kind of scroll frame
