Brian May ! You are a legend ! Your father is also 👌🏻 the sounds created by that hand built guitar gave queen its unique sound!! The most famous electric guitar in rock history! And it was made from whatever household objects that were available at the time! It's mind blowing 🤯 and very inspirational ! Brilliant 👌🏻
My son (14) argued with his classical guitar teacher and several students about who is the greatest guitarist. They ran through a bunch of names and Bobby said it's Brian May of Queen. They said, "he's one of the greats, but not the greatest - what about Hendrix or Clapton?" Bobby said, "they are great, but they didn't build a guitar out of scraps and then go on to be a guitar legend." Everything they brought up after that he would just say they didn't make their own guitar, they bought it. He's' right - Brian May is a one of a kid guitar legend.
Brian may is definitely one of the greatest Rock guitarist ever! And to think Him and his Dad set about making that Red special guitar all those years ago basically because They couldn't afford an electric guitar! !! It mind blowing what they achieved and no other guitar sounds like it either!! Apart from the replicas of course !! But That Guitars sounds with Brians unbelievable talent gave queen their own sound which is unmistakable 👌
I love your kids passion and spirit but building a guitar and writing a song are completely different things and neither is representative of the other.
I’ve watched a few videos of people assembling their own Red Special replica. This was definitely informative for one thing that I didn’t see in any of the other uploads that I’ve watched. I’ve known since 2014 that the original Red Special that Brian and his father built together had hollow cavities in it. I just didn’t pay attention to where they were whenever I watched someone else’s assembly video.
The care and attention you took to the work and detail is fantastic. Am sure Brian would be quite taken with how much heart and soul you put into your Red Special. Hope you enjoy Rocking with it! Well done 👏

Great job! That was a lot of work, I'm sure it feels great to finally play it. Was fun to see your processes for certain steps. Well done all around. The color looks great, too, by the way.
Thanks Luke, It feels great to have and to play it... And truly glad with the color. I used black grain filler first and then Rustins red Mahony dye. Turned out really nice. And I like my pattern of the veneer...
WATCHING YOU FROM BRAZIL! CONGRATULATIONS! GREAT WORK AND CRATSMANSHIP! NEEDLESS TO SAY I AM A QUEEN FAN AS WELL, ESPECIALLY BRIAN´S... HOPE YOUP´VE BEEN ENJOYING YOUR GUITAR AND KEEPING THE LEGACY ALIVE!

4:53 it actually looks really cool here...if you tidied that up a bit and had like a darker wood for the scratch plate in the shape of the exposed cavity, that would be a pretty sweet guitar, the pick ups would ruin it though, maybe just a single P90 in the bridge...interesting! Amazing work on the final build though and very nice on the final words! There are still some humans left....
Ik was al blij dat ik zijn treble booster kon maken. … de gitaar gaat me niet lukken. Jou wel. Wat een fantastisch uitziende gitaar. Ik hoop dat hij net zo goed speelt als dat hij eruit ziet.
Awsome video and hallo from germany. I will copy the wireing for my strat to upgrade the possibilities . What did you think about that ? Is it easy ? Do i need to calculate every electric part or can i buy 6 on/on swich and put them in?
Great work sir. I'm wondering if you have the dimensions of the tremolo system. I'm also planning to make one myself because there is no Red Special here in the Philippines. The only way to have one is to make one
Thanx Christian. From the top to the 24th fret is 64,5 cm. From 1st to 24 fret is 46 cm. If you want it more precisely I advice you to buy the plans from redspeciallibrary. They are very details!
Geweldig! Prachtig gemaakt.

3:12 did brian may use that technique that David Gilmour used in echoes with the incorrect input use on the wah to make that seagull sounds?

Thank you Mr Troy! I have my informatici from Red Special Library. You can buy all the drawings there. Very helpfull! Let me know of you can find it!

goodluck!!
Excelent!!!
Brian's fretboard seemed glossier. Is it a different material?
Yes. It is different. I used ebony. He used Black painted oak with Rustin Plastic coating.
Wel legend dat jullie ook de nek zelf hebben gemaakt.
De meeste kopen dat gedeelte voor de Red Special of Fender build.
Hi! Can I ask the measurement of neck from top of the headstock to the 24th fret? Thanks. Btw, beautiful build.

Als ik er zelf een zou kunnen maken zou ik het doen! Helaas heel erg onhandig en niet echt de spullen voor om een gitaar te maken. Ziet er super uit!!
Where did you get the measurements
Red special Library...
How did u make the tremolo system?
Where's the part when you played it upon completion? Let's hear it using IK AmpliTube Signature Brian May gear.
I wonder how much does it costs

Wtf, 7.25 radius. I would not buy this . No way. Action like an acoustic guitar.
Fender used the same radius up until 80 or 90s
