Ever since both Magneto and his children have redeemed themselves joining teams of heroes, this is especially home hitting for Rogue given her then newfound oath she swore to the professor, then Quicksilver andScarlet Witch, who also gave an oath to use her mutant abilities to try and bring harmony to the mutant community! These mutants did eff up, but under circumstances they could not control, especially the Scarlet Witch, poor Witchie she deserves a break already! Gambit on the other hand was not mind controlled or manipulated, he had complete say and control of his own mind and did what he did of his own devices! And besides any future with Rogue is likely her demise Gambit is so shady and secretive, there is no way of knowing when he's going to pull a Lex Luthor move! We know it's coming, we don't know when and how! Gambit is a lot smarter in deviousness than we think, don't let that Cajion accent fool you, he was trained by thieves and assassins, he can fool the entire X-men before they see it coming and if I were in Rogue's shoes, I'd come to wake up and see that, divorce this shady mutant and cut my losses at least for now untill all this from the ashes stuff improves and the x-men can find a headquarters with danger room facilities and a much better lifestyle for mutants than that swarmp they are at presently! At least Magneto has softened up because after decades of mutant stryfe, a little southern, err comfort can help Magneto strive for a better future for mutantkind, Rogue being his future soulmate and possible future offspring, which would be a far more better potential of producing better, more advanced omega level mutants than anything coming from Gambit, then Magneto can help Rogue build a much better future for all mutants, their future offspring then themselves, noticed that? The only reason Professor X was able to shut him down completely in Fatal Attractions was due to Magneto already being heavily wounded by Wolverine and taxed his own powers in the battle in any case. Prior to this, the combination of Jean and X were just ever so subtly getting in his head, implying that at full power he'd be able to fight them off and kill them if they went in aggressively.

X-Men #25 was also when he sent out a massive EMP wave which affected the entire world . That was a good issue.
