Even the last one (splashing money to charity) doesn't guarantee a happy life. The term "Happy Life" is always misunderstood. The problem is that we almost always take "Happiness" equivalent to "Satisfaction". These two shouldn't be confused. Happiness is just a feeling, and we, as humans, are not supposed to always have this feeling upregulated that is totally linked to interactions between our physiology and genetics, making our daily emotions. We are not supposed to be always happy, that is totally fine. That's the way our nature/biology is. To be concise, if we feel happy, it doesn't necessary mean that we are satisfied. And also, when we feel satisfied, it doesn't necessary mean that we are happy all the time. Now, the hard question is that what "Satisfaction" is! For everyone this feeling may look a bit different. In my opinion , when we use/apply all our talent and potentials to do what we are supposed to do, we feel a long-run calmness and internal peace that I call it "Satisfaction". This way, we are much more coordinated with our real biology and nature
