Exactly!!! This is, unfortunately, a very watered down version of an anthem-like song that should have been a celebration. They did not bring their A game (or in this case their A Team) to this recording, it was more like C or D. Now, had they included some of the members of the Welsh of the West End group, this would have been a VERY different story. But the WotWE already have their own cover of this song, and their voices do it justice.
I agree, it needs more blending, less perfect microphones (I can hear too much!), and everyone needs to stop trying to outshine each other! My fave is when people sing it like a church choir, to show the spirit.
This song is so beautiful, they did amazing but in my opinion they sound too "polite". I didn't feel the passion and it didn't make me want to get up and dance with them like the movie version. I don't know if it makes sense, but yeah, it's just my opinion:)

Funny how most of the covers of From Now On are better than what was in the film itself. Even the Blu Ray feature on this was better. Love this version and The Welsh Of The West End.

I wouldn't really say better but just as good as the film. this was my favourite song even before I saw the film.
The thing about music is that it is very subjective and means different things to different people. This is an amazing version and they’re all extremely talented people but personally, I preferred the movie version (and the version on the reimagined sound track was amazing too) Have a great day 😊

Alicia L, have you watched the greenlight video "The Greatest Showman | "From Now On" with Hugh Jackman | 20th Century FOX"? After surgery, Hugh isn't supposed to be singing, but at the last minute he just can't keep still and rocks this song with the entire chorus rooting him on. It'll lift you out of your seat. :-) Enjoy!

While they all have beautiful voices, I am missing the passion and drive the original had. This song comes at a point where he is close to losing everything before remembering his roots - it deserves Oomph

Grief! This is painful. Shocking arrangement and completely lacked feeling.
Too many voices singing little bit parts loses the intimacy and the truths within the song for me. The story gets lost

This just felt super flat, like what made the original so amazing was the fact that it was so diverse and the voices held so much passion. Here it seems timid and lacking any real heart.

The lack of diversity in this cast is truly appalling! This is why musical theatre is still massively lagging behind in the diversity stakes because it just continually perpetuates the vicious cycle that mixed raced and black performers feel in the west end that they are never given a proper consistent platform shine and grow because it’s always the same old tired casting teams choosing performers for roles that need to think outside the box ethnicity wise.
