@@SanjumerchantActually most Sikhs in Canada are quietely against Khalistan. A few radical and more violent Sikhs are loud and western media talks with them and not the majority moderate Sikhs. Khalistan is not a feasible plan considering where Punjab is located. Pakistan treats Sikhs horribly even today.

Most Sikhs do not even wear turbans today in Canada and USA. You are talking about the fundamentalist orthodox Sikhs. Some of these Sikhs may not even consider those that do not wear turbans as Sikhs, as they do have weird views trying to up their importance. They generally discount Guru Nanak and his teachings, often it conflicts with Guru Gobind Singh's teaching especially how these fundamentalist deliberately mis interpret Guru Gobind Singh words for their benefit. Having said that I know many turban wearing Sikhs who are moderates educated and really excellent people, again they are rarely in the news.
Lastly, the Sikh community is not homogeneous at all. Racism wants you to believe it is homogeneous.

First of all, only a few people are demanding it. Nobody in the mainstream hindutva movement, be it modi, BJP, RSS or even Yogi adityanath endorses that concept.
Second of all, the concept itself doesn't endorse seperatism. Nobody is demanding an independent ethno religious state based on hinduism, seperate from india, unlike the khalistan movement. The demand is just to 'declare' the country as a hindu rashtra, just like how israel is a jewish state.
Thirdly, there is no provision of any kind of discrimination against the minorities in that concept, and especially NOT against sikhs. Therefore, spreading an irrational paranoia of 'hindu supremacy' doesn't make any sense.
Fourthly, your argument is blatantly absurd as it's based on 'whatsaboutism'. By the same logic, one can argue that look ISIS terrorists are fighting for an islamic state, so we should too. Mtlb bachpan mei mummy se ye nhi smjhaya ki dusre log kue (well) mei koodne lage toh tu bhi koodega kya? 🤡

It's so strange when I see these things in the news, I am a Sikh yet I've personally (among my family or neighbors or friends) never come across any Sikh who supports the concept of Khalistan. I am from Punjab and I have gone through 80’s violence when I was in school!!! I still haven’t seen that kind of violence anywhere in the world !!! Curfews for weeks with no food or electricity !! My home was adjacent to a Gurudwara and could see terrible movements !! At times me and my brother used to hide under the bed !!! I don’t think anyone could ever have witnessed that kind of fear !!! I hope the situation normalises as my close relatives are still in the border town , very close to pak

I am a Sikh. I don’t support or want Khalistan. But I am totally unhappy with fellow Indians for a reason that may look too trivial but has impacted life of every Sikh. That’s mockery and abuse of Sikhs openly. Indians don’t truly understand that Sikhism is a religion, not a language or culture. When we make fun of madrasis or Gujratis, that is merely a language, please come and make fun of Punjabi language as much as you want. But why include Sikhs in mockery? Why show funny Sikh characters in Bollywood and tv shows. Why call names like o papaji, o paaji etc? Sardar jokes? 12 bajj gye jokes? Where bullying is considered a crime in west, in India every Sikh man goes through extreme bullying since his early days in school. That brings so much torture and trauma. Kids, adults, teachers, colleagues, bosses everyone loves to get involved when it’s about mocking sardars. I was hell scared to even sneeze in school as that may bring attention and another episode of mocking. I have always felt such a disconnect with fellow Indians because of all this and god knows how many Sikhs must be going through this. I don’t support Khalistan but I will never come back to India as it has been a torture land for me.

I didn't find anything relevant in this video except for the fact that one should stick to nationalism.
Punjab saw aggression because Congress wanted to rule the state but couldn't get an entry in elections.
It was simple congress was neither Hindu ever nor Punjabi they were and are just congress.
They couldn't win because of that mindset which was partly British and partly Indian upper class.
So to disturb peace in Punjab which was run by akalis then , Bhindrawale was placed by then RAW and intelligence agencies and Indira Gandhi gave her consent.
It was about time that Bhindrawale was successful and over powered Akalis and took areas and gurudwaras under him for management as akalis were getting greedy of the money in these temples.
It was then Bhindrawale became aware of congress motives and place a rebuttal.
Losing control over Punjab Indira Gandhi new that of she took bold steps of hurting sentiments of fearless Sikhs she will have to pay for it....
It was then RSS who pushed Lal Krishna advani to force Indira and attack the golden temple for a man who was a silent soldier of Indira.
Advani in his book clear mentions that it was due to RSS backing Indira took the decision and new it was her last....
She gave herself as her consciousness was broken.
In India if you break a temple or built one your generations are not made to forget it may it makes you famous or derogatory.
Amritpal has been planted and clearly has political backing and Centre govt has 2 tools to operate on him and make a lesson out of him.

Thoha Khalsa is a village in the Kahuta 30 miles from Rawalpindi. The village was inhabited by wealthy Sikh families - Bindras, Duggals, Anands, and Chandhoks. Sikh leader Master Tara Singh declares opposition to the partition and tears the flag of Pakistan in Lahore. On the evening of March 9, 1947, mobs from the tribal areas entered Thoha Khalsa and gave ultimatums to the Sikhs to convert. The actual clashes started the next morning when their numbers swelled to one thousand. The local helpless and poor Muslims who had earlier assured safety to the Sikhs remained mute spectators. After resisting for three days, the Sikhs hoisted white flags and negotiated a truce with the Muslim mobs. Under the agreement, the mobs will loot their houses but will not burn them, kill men, or dishonor the women. The Sikhs collected Rs. 20,000 and gave it to the mob leaders as demanded. They then abandoned their own houses and all gathered in the central Haveli of Sardar Gulab Singh. Others took shelter in the Dukh Bhanjani Gurdwara. They saw their houses being looted and burned for six days. After looting the houses, the Muslim mob turned to Gulab Singh's Haveli and surrounded it. But when defeat and dishonor were imminent, Sikh men started to prepare for the battle till death. While their men fought, the Sikh women started gathering near a well around the garden. When just women and children were left, Maan Kaur led all the women to a large well inside the Haveli. She recited Japuji Sahib the Sikh prayer and jumped inside the well. Over 93 Sikh women followed her and all committed mass suicide. On March 12, 1947, after a long and heroic resistance, 200 Sikhs were killed. The women were asked to embrace Islam, The Muslim invaders, aghast at this tragedy, fled from the place. A little later, the military arrived and rescued the survivors. The Viceroy of India, Lord Mountbatten visited the village. Lady Mountbatten led the rescue and hospitalization of the victims. Survivors reached the safety of refugee camps in Rawat, Kahuta, and lived to tell their stories

I want to say that Bhindara wala name was corrupted by Akali dal(who owns all of drugs, poisonous factories and gangs , since independence) who for their self gain aligned with the dictator Indira Gandhi for their own self-benefit , corrupted the name of Bhinderawala. The Akali dal had control over police and gangs(including Gill who killed innocent more), as they were in power killed the people not Bhinderawala. The 3 people who surrendered during blue star were Longowal, Badal and one more. These 3 were to traitor who were aligned with dictator Indra Gandhi, they managed to escape and army brutally killed not only Bhinderawala men but also innocents. My relative was in the incident and she said the army was so brutal - As when a small kid asked for water ,they picked the kid from legs and slammed him into ground killing the 3 year old baby and army killed pregnant women . The army , the dictator Indira Gandhi, Congress Party, RSS were the real villain not innocent Sikh or public.
The Khalistan moment is led by Akali dal people behind the scene who for their own benefit kill people.(This people are the evil for destroying the great Bharat , both the land of India-Punjab by Poisoning factories and drugs in India-Punjab,they are terrorists only not sikhs ,selfish Akali dal was brutally voted out by people as Akali dal and captain Amarinder singh(Traitor of Congress) were relatives and making hegemony over Punjab Politically but the great democracy destroyed Akali dal)
While the unrest is felt by 98% of sikhs due their actions and this is why they are migrating to other countries,they are not the criminals,they are not Khalistan’s as they feel unrest is the only reason.
