Amazing. Thank you for this. I noticed that you don't use gloves during the procedure even when you retract his/her tongue; just asking if the use of sterile gloves is uncommon in veterinary medicine?

but the capnograph isn’t ideal; it should have defined edges like a square, not curves. you should put at least a bit of air into that endotracheal tube to ensure you aren’t leaking anesthetic into the room and then also causing the patient to become light in surgery especially considering that the trachea also relaxes while under a surgical anesthetic plane.

My cat was given the kitty magic sedation at an urgent care vet and they couldnt complete her exam and said she was still "very much awake and aggressive" even after sedation. Why didnt they give her more? The notes say "patient was given .11 ml of each of the following meds mixed together IM, ketamine, butorphanol, dexmedetomidine." It is unclear to me if that means .11 ml altogether or .11 ml of each drug. In the past, other vets used an isoflurane box chamber to sedate her for exam. I stopped going to that vet after reading about how stressful and dangerous those are. But will kitty magic not work for my cat or did this vet just not use enough? Please reply. We got no answers and need to go to another vet.
