After boot camp at Great Lakes, I attended a 6-month Navy electronics school at Treasure Island (TI) from Nov 1957 to May 1958. Being so close to San Francisco, it was an interesting duty station for a small-town Wisconsin boy. TI was built for the 1939 Golden Gate International Exposition; the "Key System" trains that originally ran on the lower deck of the Bay Bridge hauled fair attendees from Oakland & San Francisco.
I hope you had a nice vacation in California. I really enjoyed your videos on the California Zephyr. I love bridges. I live in SE Michigan. One of my favorite bridges is the Mackinac Bridge that connects both peninsulas of Michigan. It is so long that some people hire others to drive their cars across the bridge.
Thank you so much for this video. Nostalgia, I have a lot of memories of San Francisco. I moved out of Bay area in mid 1983 and I miss my old home.
Danke fürs Hochladen 👍
So glad you're back! Enjoy your videos

Claustriphobia at it’s finest, jeezus. You are riding in that red cars blind spot. Plenty of room for you to move forward or just fall back some.
