Suggestion Build: Entertainment Town. I hate how there is so very little entertainment in FO4. Movie theaters, Roller Skating, Skate Boarding, Ice Rink, Gardens / Green House, Aquarium, Large Public Swimming Pools, Resorts, Basket Ball Courts, Parks, Music Festivals, Video Arcades, etc ... All work and no play made Jack a dull boy. Yes, yes I know, we have pools (none I would swim in however), Robot Racetrack, a half ass video arcade and I'm sure I'm forgetting something, but I was thinking of a kind of "Disneyland" Fallout 4 style. A settlement devoted entirely to entertainment. Yeah sure Nuka-World, but it's not in the Commonwealth and even if we wanted to use Nuka-World well there is, but one small settlement there and I don't think the Settlers of the Commonwealth would leave their settlements open for attack while they go to Nuka-World for vacation.
*Suggestion* A Nuka-Cola Vault near the Nuka-World enterance with Nuka-cola decorations (so much Nuka) and a bunch dead skulls and only terminals.. And maybe even make a bunch of tapes logs voiced by you... if the tape logs part is possible. *Edit*: and add some hints that the Raider Gangs were taking supplies for the Vault such as putting the Raider logos on Vault-tec boxes and crates.
Absolutely love your builds they give me so much inspiration! One thing I would love to see you try to build would be an underground shantytown where vault 88 should be. Maybe use a couple of vault pieces but primarily just wooden scrappy looking house, almost like an underground city in the commonwealth

I would put turrets around ghoul nests, super mutant camps, and raider bases so every time Preston Garvey sent me to kill them, they'd be dispatched almost immediately.

+Alakorpi Your basing that off of the idea traders have boats not made of radioactive barrels and that your barge settlement doesn't get slaughtered by the mysterious and highly deadly Rad-Fly. They say it once was a harmless lakefly. Now it flies in swarms across water dwelling settlements leaving only a trail of bones in it's wake.
It would have made more sense to make a barge town, using the floating barges and building a settlement on top of them. It would have allowed or could have one barge for growing food one or two or three for houses maybe a ship or two used to help hide the badges from the distance as nothing but a few abandoned boats at a distance and then a few other things and you got the works so to speak. The house or houses could be whatever you wish to do with it, maybe crashed plane piece across a few of the ships to help hide the build at distance among other stuff if your allowed to use them.
Wired Wrong - I wouldn't say it would have "made more sense" to make a barge town. It's a cool idea, but that wasn't what I was going for. I wanted to build a reclusive settlement for my character on a boat, not a town. So that's what I built.
Awesome build man, I want to do a barge where its overgrown with plants like the survivor has brought dirt out to the barge in an attempt to make his own island, someone has done this in real life with nets full of empty water bottles, covered them in dirt now has trees grass chickens and puppies running around
Nice! I really like it. Though I think it would have been cool to have a little "dock" on one end with a small wooden boat attached with some oars, or perhaps having it laying on the dock. You'd need a way to travel to and from your settlement. Couldn't exactly swim out there with all the supplies you'd need.
I would’ve put the patio table with an umbrella on top of the chill spot and kinda switch it with the cooking spot because when you’re up there you’re going to want to stay out of the sun which is what the umbrella would be for
Cool build...are there any other mods that offer nautical options? I tried out Workshop Rearranged on my last game after watching another one of your build videos, but it wasn't too my taste...it does exactly what it says it will do though...I just had an issue with the "rearranged" part, I guess...lol. I joke, but yeah, wasn't a fan of trying to get used to an all different workshop layout and different stats and requirements for workshop items. Enjoy the hell out of watching you do your thing. Thanks for sharing and inspiring me in my own settlement creations.

Nice build, it's cool to see things WE don't see anywhere else. Very cool idea. I would have assez some fishing/sera harvesting area to addict to the "immersivity". Also a cool technique I would have loved to see here is the "power line support" like used in @XXIVgames Red Rocket MadMax video. You should check it out, I find it very cool, and fit well the boat theme you played with here.

Cute build. I used that mod too, though I rarely build that far out with it. One has to be really careful with the scrapall command with it. ;) Place Everywhere is more forgiving than Place Anywhere, but I don't think it is on consoles.
Such a cool idea! I'm doing my own version of a mancave just for me and dogmeat at Red rocket, and it's really fun to just have a place without settlers all talking and being annoying to put all my junk and trinkets from the wasteland. CordlessVII do a vault with for like an armory or stash that you could put a small room in if you wanted to or just keep it a multi room storage vault.
Watching this video made me think of a settlement i did. on skeptical island instead of making a massive fortress like most people. i instead made a settlement on a huge dock that i built. If youre up for it, you should post a video like of a settlement build on a dock!

The one for ps4 works but it's weird. There's a place anywhere tool which is a wooden post & you attach it to what ever you what to place activate it then pick it up & place it where ever. Only issue is that if you have other objects around that object it may select one of those instead the one you want to move

I'm on the xbox so if you hold A and move the Left trigger you can move items closer or further away from you. If you hold left bumper + A, then the Left trigger will move the item higher and lower
Zombie 9899 for xbox one it's hold A to move it forwards, backwards and side to side, then to move it up and down hold down LB and A left stick for both

@CordlessVII there is a cheat console command Wich is "player.placeatme c1aeb" and then type "Tgm" and then "\workshop" or "/workshop"
