Thanks. That was a real pick-me-up video. Loved the yellow (both in the jacket and the line on the path) - very cheerful!

Thank you for watching! I'm glad to hear it! Both yellows are happy coincidences!

I was watching and listening to what you were saying and I couldn’t help but notice how much we are going through similar things. Also when my mood is low I get out my watercolor pencils and pastel pencils (I love black pastel paper) and begin to draw.A lot of times I just start matching complimentary colors and scribble until something looks right or balanced. And of course I have my Shih-tzu with me always. She is brindle colored with dark brown on the ends of her ears. I don’t know what I would do without her. I have tried to draw a picture of her several times but I can’t seem to draw animals. I noticed that you did a great job with your dog.And I really like that the way you did the background with the narrow path. That’s the way 🙂. I do have a question about watercolors. I have some that is called watercolor gouache. I guess it’s a mixture of the two and I know it’s opaque. But I don’t know how to use either one.And I have gesso and cotton watercolor paper but whenever I try to create something I keep adding more paint and then I try watering it down some and of course I end up with a big mess and then I get frustrated and stop. What should I do?Anyway I agree with you about creating anything or using color in some way is a mood elevator. And that spells fun🎉.Keeping it light.Thank you for sharing It always helps.

Oh thank you! I just recently bought a small pad of black paper to play with. But I'm determined to finish my 100 heads before I drive into that.
What I would do, is start with swatches of your unfamiliar medium. You can create a type of chart where you use the medium without anything else (just a damp brush), then with a little water, mixed with white, etc.. I don't know if I've ever tried a watercolor gouache, but the video I have on 10 acrylic paint techniques might be applicable. I do have some gouache paints I've been wanting to get into. Perhaps that will be my next video! Thank you for your continued support!! 🙏💖

So Cute I have two Golden Doodles! I need a yellow sketchbook to to deal with the highs and lows of being an artist ! After many years of feeling the downs of an artist I've come to accept that they are just temporary and eventually come out of them. It is totally normal ...... I think

Two doods! Awe! That's sweet. Thank you for sharing. I do love this sketchbook. As I'm nearing the final pages I'm hesitant to finish it. I think as long as the lows aren't too low and don't last too long. 🙏💖 Thank you for watching!

The “a yellow sketchbook” was so funny to me, because years ago I was a tiktokker and I was talking about depression with a yellow top on. Then I got a comment saying “you can’t be depressed, because those people don’t wear bright colors” 😭😂

Oh my goodness! The comments!! 😭 We're all just people trying to take care of ourselves and our families. Well I'm glad my comment made you smile. Are you still doing Tik Tok?

@@kmoartyyc right! Haha. I’m just sad that there are so many uneducated people out there, which only creates more misunderstandings between people where there shouldn’t be any.
And no not anymore! Not on that account or that type of content

@@Dee912 Agreed! If I can see them as people who must be hurting, it helps me deal with it. But it can still be hard. Thanks for connecting with me here!
