- Recently, the media was abuzz with headlines about a Member of Parliament named Prajwal Revanna, accused of molesting and raping hundreds of women, and creating compromising videos of them. Despite these shocking actions, he remains at large, amidst India's ongoing election season.
While parts of our nation express outrage, there are still individuals rallying behind Prajwal. It's disheartening to consider the turmoil in the minds of the women he victimized, as well as the broader sentiment among women in India. Our country, despite its rich cultural heritage, grapples with one of the worst safety records for women.
Sadly, conversations about such incidents often fade into oblivion, reflecting a desensitization to declining moral standards. What should have been days of national shame and solidarity with women have been hijacked by political agendas.
‘Tum Baat Toh Karte’ aims to shed light on uncomfortable truths. Please help us build conversations that are needed, even if not entertaining.

Salute to you for speaking out what many of us feel these days... sadly, these 'many of us' are still a miniscule % of the entire nation. We are the only ones who continue to ask these questions. It pains to see such people being supported for political benefits and a large population not even batting an eyelid.. Thank you for this show. Poetry seems to be the balm for the troubled times. I think about this topic a lot and always come back so disappointed as a woman. I agree that this behavior gets legitimacy in the family, rape is about power and power is reflected in the way parents treat children as inferior to them and boys treated unfairly than girls, how we underpay and exploit our househelp. Or how the parents treat each other. The words we use at home. There's violence in the words and deeds. We try to create a different world in our young family and we feel happy for our child and sad for our younger selves. So much time has gone in this violence, so much precious time lost for beauty and tenderness. One feels a grief. And grief is love for ourselves to feel and move on. We know no family like ours, no role model marriages, or homes. And that is sad. Sorry about my rant, one wonders what we could be and can be, especially one wants only the best for children. Kudos to the people trying to break these chains. It's the only way forward for sanity and decency and love to exist.

I feel more worried & even loose hope in India, when I came to know that, he approached court & had a stay order regarding circulation of videos.
Rather taking a suo moto and initiating an inquiry court have granted a stay.
Even the supreme court is silent on the matter. Why is he still a MP? Why not Our speaker is doing something, so that he can loose all privilege & enjoy the deplomatic immunity of being an MP.

Thanks for taking about this Revanna guy. But from Sandeshkhali , to Manipur to this incident, abuse and harassment of women is a political issues. I have been to Hasan( a small place really). I can say this with certainty that lots of people knew what’s happening but no one reacted and that includes BJP and congress both and lots of other people too. But no one had a spine to raise a voice.

We need to teach the right values in schools. Teach right from wrong; teach kids to empathise with others, etc. Both parents are working and have no time to even speak to kids. If kids dont get a good moral foundation, then they learn from what they are exposed to, like social media, movies, and a lot of other negative stuff that they can access. Unless they have a good moral foundation, then what will become of them as adults?

Here the question is this incident was known earlier to many and congress govt. was silent so far. when election are due in Karnataka, it cropped up suddenly in public domain and no comment from speaker.
