"make me wanna risk it all/I'm rolling high on a feeling" is the chorus lyrics for "SET ME FREE" "Crossing the line" sounds like it's from "I CAN'T STOP ME" but is probably also another line from "SET ME FREE" To me, the concept and the vibe scream 80s,90s haha in overall. I'm really interested about your matrix concept. Don't even know why i haven't thought of that haha. Also the concept photos have further confused me and I don't have any idea what kind of concept they're pulling out in the M/V. The background music of the opening trailer sounds incredibly good. I wish it is in one of the b-sides if some of the melodies were even used Great analyzing video, you always nail it, bro. Have a great day and have fun with "READY TO BE" And also don't forget to watch TWICE's performance, which is said to be "MOONLIGHT SUNRISE" by Nayeon, at Billboard Women in Music award March 1st ❤
Let's go! If you permit me, I'll cheat and repost a comment I made on another reactor's channel (since I didn't know you were about to be coming out with this analysis!). Here's some info about some of the things I found in this Opening Trailer: - The trailer opens with Nayeon, with drones around her. The number of drones doesn't appear significant to me. Also, I'm not familiar enough with mini-drones to identify their specific model. I know JYP uses drones for many aerial shots in TWICE (and other artists) content but the fact that these don't cast shadows on the ground makes me think they are all digital creations and as such, might just be generic digital drones without a specific model anyway. - Next we see Sana approaching a payphone and that leads to my biggest surprise of the trailer: The payphone is actually a canadian payphone! I know, since I still see some in my city (and has seen them throughout my life, of course; they are just less of them now). It's from the phone company Bell Canada, but the "Bell" logo is either hidden or scratched off from it. What we can see, though, when Sana picks up the receiver is on the top left of the phone several images of canadian coins (5, 10, 25 cents and our dollar coin). Also, just over the number pad, there are several buttons: Two small Volume buttons, then a button titled "Français" (to switch the text normally shown on the phone to french) and lastly a button for making another call (without having to hang up the phone beforehand). When Sana takes her leave and the camera is about to switch to Chaeyoung, the images of the coins are digitally removed from the phone, leaving the space blank. But when Jihyo takes the phone receiver at the end of the trailer, the coins icons are still removed but the text normally just under them is now shown and we can then read "No change provided" and the french text for it "Ne rend pas de monnaie". Ever since "LIKEY", there hasn't really been a TWICE connection to Canada so I'm happy that phone's there, at least in this trailer! :) - Several graffiti and flyers can be seen on the walls. Most of them contain either song titles or song lyrics. When Sana leaves the phone, we can see "Make Me Feel Special" on a marquee over her, and "Better Make a Move" (from "Scientist"), "Moonlight" and "Pull Me Over" spraypainted on the walls. - When Chaeyoung walks, we can read on the walls "You Make Me Wanna Risk It All", "Set Me Free", "Fade Away", "I'm Rolling High On a Feeling", Hold Me Tight" (probably from the new album) and also from Scientist: "Got a Crush on Me" and from I Can't Stop Me:"Out Of Control" and "Crossing the Line". Also, I couldn't make out the car's make (looks like a 2014 Dodge Charger SRT's front grill, but I'm not sure yet). - As for Dahyun's scenes, some graffiti reads "Set Me Free", "Be Right Here", "Never Enough". Then she comes across a series of posters with many titles related to the new album: "Ready To Be", "Blame It On Me", "March 10", "Our Youth", "Set Me Free Available March 10", "Sparkle" but also some TWICE-related text like "Alive Tonight", "One in a Million", "The Feels", "Once Through the Eyes and Once Through the Ears", "2015. 10". On her right side there's a blue sign over the door with "Moonlight Sunrise" in yellow, and also on her left there's a street sign that reads "Frankfurt 8,903KM". I searched to find what could be this distance away from Frankfurt and it just so happen that Jeju Isle, just south of Seoul and a popular travel destination for koreans is indeed this distance away from Frankfurt! - For Mina, there's a bit less text around her. The only noteworthy graffiti are "Will Never Fall For It". - The scene then goes to Tzuyu and there are dates on the vintage shop window besides her: 1020 - 2015 which is of course TWICE's debut date. That shop is also situated on 1020 Ave. :) Graffiti for "Hold Me Tight" and "Set Me Free" can also be seen. - As pretty as Jeongyeon is in her scene, I unfortunately couldn't pinpoint anything new around her. - Floating in front of Momo is a boombox. Not just any boombox, but a GPO Brooklyn Black 1980s-Style portable boombox! The GPO logo has been covered up with a TWICE logo but besides that, it's pretty recognizable. Behind Momo we can now see more clearly some text that was on an earlier poster: "I know love it is such a funny thing - A mystery allure - Gotta get to know you more" (from "The Feels"). - A better view of the texts on the aforementioned phone can be seen just before Jihyo's entrance. Also, we get a glimpse to the rest of the set, with several elements of the decor that relates to their new album: "Thrills", "Set Me Free" (a Live Show), "Crazy Stupid Love" (a Records store?) but also "Eyes Wide Open" (a photo camera store?). - The final room doesn't really give me any more eater eggs. That's about it! Have a great day! :)
Wow thank you so much for filling in some of the details I was missing. i would never recognized all of the Canadian references. And don't worry about copy and pasting, I wouldn't want you to type all of it out again since I know it's a lot..
@@Sohnee Thank you :) I never can be the first person to shout "First!" in these TWICE reaction videos since I have to watch it in full, analyse it, research it then write a comment about it all, and it usually takes hours! Meh, fortunately I'm not that vain :) Copy-pasting did save me some time, but I coudn't reference the specific points you made in your own video. I'll do that here! - About the first scene, with Nayeon and the drones, I still can't find an exact model but when I wrote that JYP uses drones for other artists, this what I was refering to exactly: th-cam.com/video/p-bLq4cdNis/w-d-xo.html. It's an NMIXX video, but they actually show one of the drones following the group (you can see it on the upper left) and it looks almost identical to the ones flying around Nayeon (black and rectangular, metallic arms, black apinners, its body without round edges). It may have been used as reference for the 3D model, maybe? I still would be very surprised if they were all real, in the Opening Trailer. - Next, the photocard next to the phone in the phonebooth! Well, I don't know how to say it, but that's not a Sana photocard... :) But, well... that's a nice Sana photocard that you got, though! :D - I've seen it thrown around a lot that this trailer gives off a lot of "Matrix" vibes, and I can see where you're getting that. After all, the stuff only starts floating around unnaturally when Sana picks off the phone, and they all fall down by gravity when Jihyo hangs it up. And phones are of course integral to the "Matrix" lore. I'm personally thinking that's a coincidence in concepts, but maybe I'm not just thinking outside of the box enough, who knows! :) - Your date theory is interesting, and I'll give it to you that the 13 : 00 does appear to change to a 1 : 00 when it's lit up. Unfortunately, since we can follow the shadow accross the whole window, I do believe that the pillar (column) in front of the window is what's causing to block the light source just enough that only the back of the 3 is lit up, making it appear as a 1 since neither the 1 nor the branches of the 3 are. - Another counterpoint is in the scene with Tzuyu where you identify the debut date as the spot where the opening hours are located (on the left of Tzuyu). But when Mina pans her telescope, we can see both the left And the right windows around Tzuyu. The right window is the one that is showing the opening hours. You can see it in your video at 6:23 and 6:58. - In Momo's scenes (and Dahyun's), we can see group shots of TWICE members. You asked which pictures they were and I think I recognize the picture in the yellow poster as a group shot for the album "Taste of Love", and the picture in the black "One in a Million" poster as a group shot for the album "Feel Special". The third one in the black "The Feels" poster is from the promotion for "The Feels" music video :) - Your analysis of the "Ready To Be" font is interesting! The thing to keep in mind, though, is that the Opening Trailer could have more in commom with the upcoming title track's music video, and the "Ready To Be" font fits more with the concept of the "Ready To Be" album, which could be completely different! But I don't know, I barely noticed the style of the cloting of the members in these new "Ready To Be" pictures since I couldn't get me eyes away from Jeongyeon... so if you're saying it's an "alternative rock/pop-rock aesthetic", I'll believe you on that! :) I really enjoyed your analysis and commentary! Catch you next Thursday!

the small graffiti behind the telephone was "Better Make a Move", a lyric from scientist.
Ohhh that makes more sense
Fun 👍
