Sounds like a ploy to get out of belt line rail to Ponce City Market. One that still won’t be finished for probably 20 years or more

How will this be paid for, and will it be cost efficient?

I'm going to guess the other three infill stations. I would say a station in between King Memorial and Inman Park Reynoldstown. The next between Arts Center and Lindberg. Center. I believe a station between Brookhaven/ Oglethorpe and Chamblee maybe 🤔.or wildcard choice between Edgewood Candler Park and Eastlake at Pullman Yards.. what's your Guess??

The issues of the vote to join Marta and the 1% sale tax are the 2 matters that are keeping Marta from expanding into Cobb county and Gwinnett county 👍

The biggest issue is the homeless in Marta station

They will be train stations; busses at some of them are a possibility.

Weren't they expanding North to Alpharetta? I think they should just go for the full expansion which would extend the proctor Creek line from bankhead, the extension of the H.E. Holmes line to Fulton Industrial, an underground extension to Northeast Dekalb, the southeast to Hapeville.

They should also extend the Doraville line up to Norcross.

Gwinnett county voters and taxpayers must first vote to join MARTA and pass the 1 % sale tax before Marta can expand into Gwinnett county. 😊

In order for Marta to expand into Cobb and Gwinnett counties, Cobb County and Gwinnett county voters and taxpayers must vote 🗳 to join Marta and pass the 1 % sale tax. The vote to join and 1 % Sale tax are the issues that are keeping Marta out of Cobb county and Gwinnett county. 😊

The last MARTA referendum in Gwinnett County also included all of the current Gwinnett Transit service being turned into Marta, which was a huge condition on the deal and problematic for many. Gwinnett Transit currently has expansive and reliable service, though not total coverage. The "surrender" of Gwinnett's own system may have been too big of a risk. Marta's service by comparison is known for having issues.

Sounds likes an idea that will expand crime more efficiently.

More people mean more crime. Not better or worse crime, but more crime in numbers. That seems to be the result in every city US and outside the US.
Public transit supports the population, and its economy. That also stands consistent in every city. Atlanta is long overdue in expanding and investing in its Public transit.
      Correlation is not causation.
I understand I'm not changing anyone's mind here. But I would like others to consider what transit does for its communities and wide range of industry from E-commerce to Education.
Consider this, your populations already here. We need to support it, public transit does that. If not the result is a poor, disconnected city.
