    Right off the bat the quality of this video is worlds better than the daily vlogs. Cheers for growth and advancement Frank!! You’re doing awesome!

      It’s crazy! Almost like having 7x as much time to work on them improves the overall outcome 😂
      Appreciate the kind words!!

    First of all, congratulations. That's an amazing mental challenge that most of us would never do. Maybe if done blood tests before and after could have a different result?

      Yeah I would’ve been crazy interested in that data if I’d have been able to get it somehow!

    My wife and I just finished a 7 day fast. We did drink some vegetable broth each day, 1 or 2 cups, and 1 protein shake per day staring day 4

      What was your result Dennis?

    • @FrankMenken
      @FrankMenken  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah a low calorie fast like this feels a lot more valuable I think. Might give something like this a go on the future, I’ve heard around 500 calories is the sweet spot for a calorie restricted fast.

      @@genzfinances we did the fast for religious reasons but i drop an average of 1lbs a day. We had already been doing IF leading up to it so were already farly fat adapted.
      So for 2 weeks we did veg/fruits and some dairy or no bread/pasta no meat. But IF'd 19/5 most days.
      3rd week started liquid fast, i did water only except for some LMNT electrolyte packets for 3 days. Then started the broth and protein shake. Day 4. It wasnt that hard for me til day 6 and 7. I started to have to fight off thought of quiting. But wasnt hurting from hunger. Adter 3 weeks I am down 22 lbs. I will be switching to a carnivore diet. Basicly all meat.

      @@kwakthisway Did you notice a change in your mental clarity?

    • @kwakthisway
      @kwakthisway ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@genzfinances I couldn't tell a difference, but i hypothesize that a lot of the clarity comes from going into ketosis, and i was already close to that before my 7 day liquid fast, I am a normal LC'r so it was normal for me.

    Was worried, I’m 93kg through weight lifting and more cals put on 17kg through it; it’s interesting how body shape doesn’t correlate to weight it seems. Better you than me, I feel terrible after one missed meal but on 2500-3500 a day I feel missing 800cal meal. Basically for those who struggle with food there is no set method, it is what works for you and your training :)
